STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! BAD BAD EXPERIENCE



I have been a 20+ year Preferred member of Avis and loved all my experiences of renting a car except from some of their independently owned franchisees. I made a reservation online this morning to pick up a Compact car at 11.30am to drop off at the airport by 9pm same day. I get to the counter at 1.30pm and notice my car is not ready. Added to that they have a lady at the counter who may not have been properly trained and provided the right type of coaching on customer service. She makes me wait for 20 mins since her excuse is she is alone and she is assisting another customer. So far fine, I understand. Then she tells me the car of my choice is not available and she starts calling her Manager to determine what car she could rent me. After another 10 mins I am told I could pay $10 more a get a Mustang or get a mini van for same price. I choose the mini van and she gets the paperwork completed and then proceed to conduct a walk thru...My flight is at 3.30pm and its now 2pm. I tell her everything is fine and she asks me to check the fuel which I checked and told her everything is fine....at this point, I am getting very annoyed since I signed all the paperwork, agreed to all their conditions and its her way of doing things and the world has to wait. I tell her that I have to leave and she does not like it....heres the kicker....she calls the COPS telling them I am about to steal the car and lies that I pushed her. I am shocked...what the crap!!! I wait for the cops to show...give them the keys and tell them I did not touch her...did not in anyway break the law. They issue a Trespassing Violation and let me go......MORAL OF STORY....if you don't do what they tell u at this location or in anyway shape or form show them that you are not happy with their service....THEY WILL CALL THE COPS....Lesson learned...just the beginning....not letting this one die.

We have rented from this location a number of times and found them to be very courteous and friendly. My husband and I were very impressed with the friendliness and good service we received from Bobby and Adreana. They were both very personable and caring. We have always been pleased with the cars we have received from this location, as well. We really think the other rental car places can't compare with their hours of operation and their ability to satisfy their customers.

Dont go to this place!!! They tried to rip me off $250 today! We returned the rental car and the guy working in the AVIS on 919 Parkside Walk Ln Lawrenceville, Ga. He insisted that we had smoked in the car. We ABSOLUTELY DID NOT smoke in the car because we didnt want to pay the fine of $250. My husband was standing beside the car, on the outside smoking while we were waiting for the place to open to return the car. The guy that works there came out and looked the car over and INSISTED we had been smoking in the car. We DID NOT. He even went so far as to fabricate ashes in the driver side. I am like show me! There wasnt because we NEVER smoked in this car. I could not believe it. He then said we needed to take it over across the street and have it washed vacuumed etc,. which cost US $16.80 to do. I think the guy didnt want to have to clean it. I was totally SHOCKED. He practically called us liars. What it amounts to is that he accused us of something we didnt do and then threatened to charge us extra $250. Beware of these people. It is your word against theirs and they can do what they want once they have your credit card. I will NEVER rent from these people again. It is true that the people that work for you can make you or break you! A business card shows a Robert Lacey as president. Well, you might want to check with your employees Mr Lacey....they are trying to rip people off! Oh and Mr whomever you are, that would not give me your name, you were totally wrong, but you know what, believe what you want!!! You ran a good customer off. I had rented from you once before and thought I had found a good place, boy was I wrong. They dont answer the phone when you call either. Tried calling several times several days the week before we rented. Boy did I make a mistake renting here, but wont make that mistake again!!!!
