The Gwinnett County Department of Planning and Development promotes and enhances the well-being of residents, visitors, property owners and businesses of Gwinnett County in Georgia. The department helps to develop and maintain residential and nonresidential neighborhoods of the county. Its development division regulates, plan reviews and inspects land development and building construction activities. The division also provides issuance of building permits and reviews street names. The Gwinnett County Department of Planning and Development s planning division is responsible for the long-range planning and zoning activities in the county. The department additionally prepares the Gwinnett County Comprehensive Plan. It is located in Lawrenceville, Ga.
