Terrible

I dropped my stuff to get dry cleaned Wednesday morning, it is now Saturday afternoon and they hadn't even touched it. I asked specifically if they would and they said yes. Do not go here.

BEWARE!! They will ruin and lose your clothes!!

DO NOT take your clothes here unless you want them ruined or lost without fair compensation. I was a loyal customer for over a year only to be treated with complete disrespect when they ruined one of my dresses. I understand that things happen but the problem lies in how the situation was handled by the manager. When I went by the first time to pick up my clothes I was told that they could not be found. This is not the first time that my clothes have been misplaced so I said that I would come back at a later time. When I came back all of my clothes had been put in the back so that they could all be given to me when the manager was present to explain what happened. The manager (owner??) greeted me with hostility and was prepared to argue. I was not mad I simply wanted fair compensation for the ruined dress. The manager asked where I bought the dress and how much it cost. When I told her I bought it at Dillard’s she went into a frenzy and told me I needed to take it back to Dillard’s because it has a manufacturing defect that caused the white silk to turn grey and that they have had a lot of dresses from Dillard’s ruin lately. I assured her that there is nothing the store would do for me considering I have had the dress over 6 months, no longer have the receipt and it has been dry cleaned before without problems She raised her voice telling me "it was not their fault" because the dress said "dry clean only" and that’s what they did. She demanded that I take it to the store and if they won’t do anything then I could come back and she may give me an in-store credit but nowhere near what I paid for the dress which was $150. She said that she like the store has “no way of knowing what the dress is worth since I don’t have a receipt for its value”. (Who knew you were supposed to keep all of your clothing receipts in case the dry cleaners ruins or loses your clothes?) She assured me they couldn’t even give me a credit near $100 but we could talk about it further after I go to the store and argue with them. My schedule is much too busy to run around town and then come back and catch her while she’s there to negotiate a petty dry cleaning credit. She acted like she was doing me a favor by not charging me for the cleaning of the dress but I still had to pay the rest of my bill. She also made the comment that whoever took in my dress should have had me sign a release because they’ve had a lot of dresses like it ruin lately when they dry clean them. I asked her since a release wasn’t signed then shouldn’t I receive compensation? She said that she could not and that when I left she was going to find out who took in the dress and “yell at them”. I assured her that it was not their fault and it was poor management for her to yell at them and to say that in front of me. Furthermore, they lost a pair of my sister-in-laws pants a couple months ago. For about 3 weeks they repeatedly kept telling her they would call her when they found them. Each time she gave them her name and phone number and they never called her. They finally gave her a $25 in-store credit for a $100 pair of pants. I have spent far more than the value of my dress on my regular dry cleaning and would have spent far more in the future……….you would think good management would credit me at least half the value of my dress for their mistake.
