Great Plains Technology Center is a public, two-year institution providing vocational education to more than 250 students. The institution offers a wide range of certificate programs in electrical and automotive technology, carpentry, heating, ventilation and refrigeration maintenance, and radiology and radiation therapy. It also provides courses in building and property maintenance, business management, marketing, computer networking, telecommunications, and repair technology and installation. Additionally, the center provides programs, including diesel mechanics, welding, drafting and design technology, e-commerce, masonry, respiratory care therapy and surgical technology. It is approved by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. The center also provides career counseling and various financial options to the students. The center offers various clubs, such as Business Professionals of America, Health Occupations Students of America and National Vocational Technical Honor Society. Located in Lawton, Okla., the center also has a study center in Frederick.
