My laptop fan had been going out for months, when finally it kicked the bucket. I dreaded taking it in for a replacement, but at this time, I had to. I researched places to go, and Altec seemed to be the best place based on reviews. I went in, dropped off my computer, and then waited. In a week's time, they were able to order a new fan and put it in. Not only did they fix the fan, but they also cleaned the components, did a maintenance check, and took out the dents from where my laptop had been dropped! The biggest surprise was that this all cost about $60 in all! They also take military discounts unlike other places, and fix your computer ASAP. If my laptop ever has a problem again, I will definitely go back.

I have been using Altec for my business and home since September, 2006. They set up my internet, office intranet, passwords, wireless connections within the office and my connections to my billing service, as well as my printers, scanners and other peripherals. They frequently can just remote into the computer to troubleshoot problems. I had a very ugly virus on my main business computer that they were able to eliminate. Not only that, but they timed their visit and work (including working evenings) to minimize downtime for my business. Their charges are reasonable and fair and they stand by their work. Two other IT guys (used by my billing service) had told me one of my computers was dead. Altec took the computer and figured out it was only a problem with the power cord and my computer is now working fine. They don't try to sell you things you don't need -- they make solid recommendations for equipment that will do the job well, and last. I trust and absolutely recommend them.

Dan and Ket at Altec have done my computer repair work for several years now. They are reliable, knowledgable and great to work with! In an emergency they're available to help and they treat their clients with respect! I have used other companies in the past, but Altec is by far the best!
