My wife, and I had a structural member in our roof, break under the stress of excessive load from an ice, and freezing rain storm. Since it was not a collapse, we did not want to have the inside of the house torn apart to have it repaired. Realizing the mess from the attic insulation, drywall, ruined carpeting, etc. Having an excellent experience working with Bob, and his crew twice before, once being a tear off, and replacement of the roof on our house, and a 45 degree pitched roof on a large detached garage.We called Bob Harvey Roofing, to explore the option of opening up the roof, having the repair completed from above instead. Mr. Harvey promptly came out, gave a very fair, honest bid, in writing, before he left our house. During our meeting, I expressed my concerns of having to have a Framing Crew, our Structural engineer here all at the same time. Mr. Harvey assured me, that he has people on his crew with more than adequate framing experience, that could handle the repair. That he would also, be more than happy to meet with our Engineer, get the fix that was called out, be able to work up a bid for this extra work, even pick up the lumber, and other materials that would be needed. Bob also laid out the timeline, the first day they would tear off, complete the structural repair, have it dried back in, and water tight. The second day would be installing the shingles. Being the first part of January, I have to admit, I was a little skeptical that it would go quite as well as planned.Mr Harvey s crew arrived that morning, on time, prepared, and ready to go. Bob and our Engineer arrived on site as planned at 10:45 A.M, Just as the last sheet of sheathing was being removed. Bob, his crew worked worked wonderfully with our Engineer. The expertise shown by his crew, while completing framing, was excellent. I asked one of them, to check if the ice and water shield was far enough into the heated space in one small area, he immediately took out his tape measure, quoted me building code, and said, your right, and added another width. No argument, talking under his breath or anything, It was great!! By the end of the first day, as promised, it was all dried in, and secure. On the second day, they came back, and had the ridge vent, and shingles installed by about 1 o clock. It looked great too. I could not be any more happy with the work that Bob, and his knowledgeable staff performed. A BIG Thank You to all, for turning a disaster, into a pleasurable experience
