This morning was my 2nd instance of a "run in" with Joe Hix Trucking. Back in November (11/13/10) my husband and I were driving through a snow storm on 169N through Shakopee to bring our 4 day old daughter to a check up at the doctor. We were driving in the left lane passing a vehile in the right land and a Joe Hix semi sped up to us and tailgated us until we were finally around the car we were passing and back in the right lane. He then sped past us - obviously annoyed that we were driving as fast as he thought we should have been; mouthing some "language" and giving us the evil eye. Both my husband and I were beyond angry - especially since we had a tiny baby in the vehicle and we were driving as fast as we felt conditions allowed (and even passing someone in the right lane).

Then again today, Monday 4/11/11, on my way to work this morning in rush hour traffic - about the same place on 169 a Joe Hix truck sped up to the car next to me in the right lane and tailgated him for quite some time. If you are thinking of using this company - PLEASE THINK TWICE as I'm sure these two incidents are not isolated events. If you are the owner of this company - please have a chat with your drivers regarding safety driving a vehicle 20+ times the size of most other vehichles on the road. The actions of the driver in each of my experiences was very rude, not to meniton completely unsafe!
