I would definately NOT recomme...

I would definately NOT recommend JW Cabinets in Le Sueur. I hired him to put new countertops in my kitchen and to make cabinet doors for two of the cupboards. I thought he was a nice and honest guy and that I could trust him (small town), but was I wrong! I couldn't take a day off of work to be at home when he did the install. We had met and discussed what I wanted several times, so I was comfortable with it. Instead I left my cell number and my work direct dial number on the counter in the kitchen and told him to call me with ANY questions. I trusted him to go into my home when I wasn't there to install the countertops. That part was fine, but during the install he drilled a hole for a TV cable (I have an undercabinet mounted little TV) into my brand new countertop that he was installing which we had never discussed him doing nor did I ask him to do. I had removed the cable from the TV so there wouldn't be a problem or so I thought. Why wouldn't you call and ask before drilling a hole in a brand new countertop that we never discussed?! (I had the electrician coming to hook up the TV and run the wire behind the wall) Then I notice a dent , drag and another dent in my $1800.00 1 year-old refrigerator! I had just looked the fridge over due to work that had had just been done in the kitchen (phase 1 of the kitchen project) by my handyman before JW came to install the countertops and there were no dents or scrapes at all. Not only was Jessie dishonest by not telling me he had damaged the fridge, but when I confronted him, he straight out denied it! He told me I could talk to his employee/partner that helped with the install and ask him if they did it and I said, yes, I'd like to talk to him. Well, he never let me talk to the guy because he probably would have been honest about it. Then, when I refused to pay him the full amount of the bill because of the hole (now patched) in my countertop and the dinged up fridge door, he said he wasn't going to knock down the bill for both things. So now I have a patched up countertop and a dinged up fridge door because JW Cabinets is dishonest and cannot be trusted. He thought the patched up countertop was no big deal and that I should pay full price even with it being patched. I bet if he bought a brand new truck and they scratched it at the dealership when he went to pick it up he wouldn't tell them to put a little touch up paint on it and he'd pay the full amount. I then had a couple of people from town look at the fridge door and they could not believe that he denied damaging it. It was clear as to what happened because of the way my kitchen is set up. There is just a doorway between the fridge and the countertop so either when they were removing the old countertop or putting the new one in, the corner edge of the countertop banged into the fridge door and then they must have gotten the countertop stuck therefore leaving the drag mark on the fridge door along with another dent. As far as the two cupboard doors I had JW Cabinets make - they would have been fine if he had taken any pride in hanging them and sanding them. They didn't even match up level with the other cupboard doors. He clearly did not care because he felt my kitchen cupboards were too old to be kept. I bought the home because it is older and has character. I like the old cupboards and wanted to save them. I would never recommend or use JW Cabinets again.

I had a terrific experience with JW Cabinets. We recently remodeled our master bathroom and needed a custom vanity. After researching remodeled bathrooms on line, I chose a style that was completely different than anything we had seen before. Our boys are older, so we made the vanity kitchen counter height and added tip out drawers (beneath the sink) for their tooth brushes. Even the hardware was exactly like the very high end vanities that were found on line. Installation went very quickly. The time between my ordering and installation was only two weeks! Amazing. Thanks Jessie!
