A transmission return hose burst on my Jeep and a LOT of smoke was coming out of the engine compartment. I had it towed to Silver City Auto. They were swamped with work but got to it about 3 hours later (which is what they estimated beforehand). Local parts stores didn't have the exact hose but the mechanic went to a parts store while on his lunch break and found one that would work. They installed it and I was on the road around 3pm. The price was reasonable and I really appreciated their extra effort.

went in for a front end alignment one morning. returned that afternoon to learn that they didn't do the work. was then presented with a laundry list and estimate to the tune of 2K of what my car needed. on that list was front brakes and front struts. i told the guy that was funny because i had replaced the front brakes and struts a couple months previous. he wouldn't look at me then, and stammered that those parts were needed. i don't think so. never will go back.

I needed help replacing a tire. They got me in and done right away. Very helpful, a pleasure to do business with.

I have been coming to Silver City for years. Chris has always taken care of me. Ever since Chris has been gone, I feel like I'm being taken advantage of. Winter 2012 my car battery died within 2 min. of turning it off and restarting. I took it in, and they replaced only ONE of battery terminals. When they replaced it they put a RED cable on the black/negative side (yes, tha'ts confusing and dangerous). When I was charged they tried to tack a diagnostic fee of $45 without a printout of what the diagnostic check would have said. I questioned it and they took it off without explanation. I'm now weary but still took my car there. My battery still will not stay charged. I just paid $324 for a new alternator. Now 2 days later my battery is DEAD again!!! They said now I need a new battery (my battery is only 2 years old). My trust is gone and I'm disappointed. Now I'm going to install my 1st battery and go to RPM when they open this summer. I hate feeling taken advantage of. Seriously I want to cry. I don't mind paying for legitimate problems when I feel taken care of. But this is not the case. I don't know why my battery keeps dying and I don't feel like Silver City wants to help me they just want me to keep coming back with money.

I have not ever had a good experience with this place. The employees are rude.. the service is slow and the quality of the work is vary poor. You can only have half the stuff you need done and only on certain days. This is an awful auto Shop.

I hate going to this place for anything every time they get my car they have it all day or even two or three and the only thing i have gone their is for tire rotation or mount and balance so not a good place to go for those things. They are also very high in the price

If your in a pinch, this is the place to go! My husband and I were traveling to Aspen, and we were on our way through Leadville to go over Independance Pass when our car started to give out right before Leadville. We stopped at a little conoco gas station on the right as we came into town. My husband went into the station and spoke with a young gentleman named Dan, turns out he is the owner. He was so busy with other work that day, but could see that we needed to get to Aspen. He told us taht it had to be the alternator and that he would call around for the part. He stopped everything and just started working on getting our car fixed. He called the local parts department and they were able to get us the alternator THAT DAY! Dan worked on our car himself and we were on our way that night. I couldn't believe that someone could be so honest and trustworthy. Most people would have said that it was out of their hands and that we woiuld have to wait a few days to fit us in. I would recommend
