Provided by YP.comWorst ever - these guys are why Uber succeeds.
Called at 10:19 for a cab - told it would be 1 hour
Called at 11:47 - told it would be 30 more min, I was next
Called at 12:43 - was told it would be 15 minutes
At 1:10 I installed the Uber app and was picked up within 5 minutes
At 1:50 CLCT driver called asking where I was. That was 3 1/2 hours of lies from CLCT. If you need to be somewhere, DO NOT call CLCT!!

Provided by YPmobileThis was one of the most terrifying experience of my entire life after the man picked me up ,at first everything was fine until I explained to him that his direction was wrong at that point he told me that I had to leave my purse in the car if I didn't have the money on me and when I told him that was not going to happen he "assumed"I was going to run out of the car and rip him off .when we arrived AT MY HOUSE he locked the door so I could not get out I had to scream for my mother to come out side and save me from this taxi driver who was holding me hostage until he received his payment I am a 26 year old mother and wife but no where in my description is there room for thief so I give the taxi service -5 stars because my ride went from 35$ to 25,00 $ due to the Attorney Bill !!! Stay safe stay away from clear lake taxi

Provided by YPmobileGot a ride this morning from Clear Lake Cab (hereafter CLC) to catch a bus about 2 miles from my home. A few days ago I called to confirm that they would accept debit/credit cards. I was told "yes, any type of card with a Visa or MC logo on it." There was no mention of any other mitigating factors when using plastic. Knowing rush hour traffic can stretch the resources of small suburban companies, I called CLC this morning to make reservations for a pick up over two hours in advance. During the reservation I told their rep my destination, that the trip was only 2-2.5 miles away & should takes less than 10 min. I also explained (in great detail) the crazy configuration of my condo complex and asked for a pick up on a side street which literally runs beside my condo. No problem it seemed. A good 10 minutes before pick up I walked outside and waited at the location I asked. Near my pickup time I saw a white CLC van sail through the intersection where I had told them to turn. A few minutes later I received a call from my driver asking where I was. Apparently he had driven to the entrance of my condo despite my instructions. After another detailed (and necessary) explanation of how to find me he showed up a few minutes later. The first thing I noticed was the meter was already (and inexplicably) at $2.75. It cost me $2.75 just to slide in and sit on the front seat...and we had not traveled 5 feet? I watched as the meter clicked away at what seemed every quarter of a mile. When we arrived at my stop I directed the driver through the parking lot, something which seemed to confuse him to no end. My final fare was $6.25. During the entire trip I had been sitting w/ my debit card next to the driver. When I handed him the card his response was "The lady wants to take credit cards only if the bill is over $10." I replied "Sorry, but this was never discussed with me". No one had told me CLC's policy of a minimum $10 charge for plastic earlier. The driver seemed implacible on this matter & there was NO way he was going to receive a nearly $4 tip on a 2 mile trip and $6.25 charge. I reached back into my wallet and said, "Ok, I'll pay cash." The driver's response amazingly was "$7 minimum charge for cash." This is one time in my life when a seventy-five cent tip was seventy-four cents too much! I shelled out my seven dollars in cash and vowed, both then and now, it will be a proverbial cold day in (expletive deleted) before I ever call Clear Lake Cab again.

To be blown off by them because I wasn't at a place of business. this cab company and glen can suck a fat one and stick up there brown side and so is the butch who answered the phone and chose to tell me to get stuffed when they had 2 driver's at the office. I needed to go 6 miles in 45 degree weather from 330 till 5 am they didn't have one availability. Be sides the manager and a new trainee. Find a different cab company.

Provided by YP.comCalled Clear Lake Taxi the night before I needed the service to set up a timed pick up for the next day. They were the third company I called - the first one was an answering machine and the second one was disconnected. The person answering the phone was helpful and polite. On the day of pick up, I received a call from the driver, 'Steve' about 20-30 minutes before he was due. He verified that I still needed the service and told me where he was located and that he was on his way. He was on time, very polite and professional. Although I was only going a few miles to pick up my car from the shop, I enjoyed the conversation and Steve's pleasant attitude. Bonus - although it could have used a vacuum, his cab didn't smell like sweat and engine oil! I will definitely use Clear Lake Taxi, and Steve again!
