Cen-Tex just re-plastered my old pool and it looks amazing! Their workers were prompt and respectful. Rudy, who discovered that my pool needed a full re-plaster vs a simple patch, was honest with me about the situation. I really appreciate honesty even if it's not what I want to hear. Lalo, who I believe is the owner, was amazing to call and talk me off the ledge when I found out my entire pool needed re-plastered. Brenda in the office was patient when I called (almost every day) to find out the schedule and to answer my myriad of questions. The pool looks fantastic!

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Made initial appt on a Monday to take time off the following Friday to have my pool inspected in order to get an idea of the cost to replaster, tile and possibly use a product called Pebbletec”.



Friday arrives and the tech assigned to meet with me calls and does everything in his power to get out of meeting to evaluate my pool. I relayed I wanted him to see all of the issues I felt needed to be addressed so I had all the info I needed to budget the project efficiently. He still put me off and did not come out.



Sent an email to the company relaying my disatisfaction and was contacted directly by the owner John M. Scofield. He was very apologetic and relayed the following:



“I cannot apologize enough for the way you were treated. We are in the service business and you are our prospective customer. Regardless of your repair’s timing we should have kept our commitment and your appointment. The cavalier way in which you we treated is unacceptable.



I assure you the impression you have of my company is not the way we do business and I will not allow any employee to conduct themselves in this manner. I will address the matter with Allen and his supervisor, Peter Englebert, VP in charge of our Cen-Tex Plaster division.



The Cen-Tex name has always been associated with quality products and superior service. Our reputation is based on how we treat each and every single customer. Your treatment is not an accurate reflection of how we built our reputation or conduct business today. I will personally follow-up with you after I meet with Allen and Peter.



Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention. “



Being in business myself I understand these types of issues happen and agreed to meet with Mr. Englebert, the VP, and once again made an appointment early Monday morning to meet up the following Friday between 8a and 11a (which I had to take off work again).



And here is where I got very frustrated.



Once again, Friday 11a rolls around and Mr. Englebert is a NO SHOW and NO CALL.



I send another email stating this is unacceptable to both John and Peter.



At 4:00p that same Friday (5 hours after our scheduled appointment had expired) Mr. Englebert calls and leaves the short message of “Call me” … nothing more.



What is even more unacceptable is that John M. Scofield, the owner, never called back after this second mishap.



If I cannot even get the VP of operations out to my house or heck even to meet me at a scheduled time or the decency of calling me to tell me he is running late or needs to postpone then I can only imagine what the service and commitment would be if I used them to complete my project.



BOTTOM LINE … I WILL PASS ON Cen-Tex Plaster and Scofield Construction Services, LLC !!!!!!!
