First United Methodist Church of Leavenworth is the oldest United Methodist congregation in Kansas. We have ministered with the people of Leavenworth since 1854. We have long roots and deep traditions -- we are a church of the ages. But, we are also a church, as an ancient hymn suggests, serving the present age, our calling to fulfill!  We invite you to be a part of the living tradition of Leavenworth FUMC as we seek to grow in and serve present age! 

Come join us for Sunday morning worship at 8:30 or 11:00. A nursery is provided at all both services.  There are a variety of Sunday School classes between services at 9:45. We have an active youth group for 6th-12th graders that meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30. Our after-school program for K-5th graders, Wonderful Wednesdays, meets once a week during the school year from 3:45-5:30, and includes snacks, study, arts & crafts, and choir practice.  Our community potluck meal, The Gathering, meets Wednesday evenings from 5:30-6:30.  Other opportunities fellowship include mid-week bible studies, mission outreach, and several circles of UMW.

Location
Our sanctuary is located on Chestnut between 4th and 5th Avenues, and the Education Bldg is located directly across the street. We also have a parking lot on the corner of 5th and Chestnut.
