Saint John Hospital is a nonprofit, more than 80-bed hospital, affiliated with the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth health system, and is located in Leavenworth, Kan. It has more than 200 doctors representing a variety of specialties, supported by more than 300 other employees provide nursing, medical and support services, as well as over 100 adults and youth volunteers. Established in 1984, it provides general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient and emergency room patients, and participates in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Its services include acute and chronic inpatient care, surgeries, orthopedics, pediatrics, cardiopulmonary care, oncology, diabetes management, emergency medical services and a birthing center. It also provides outpatient services, including laboratory tests, X-rays, nuclear, magnetic resonance imaging and mammograms.
