Went to see "La la Land" tonight. Theater was packed so we could only get seats in the rear of the theater. No problem. However, no one in the rear of the theater could hear the audio. Everyone was mumbling about the sound. Left my seat and went to the lobby to inform them about sound issues. Was met by an older woman, who I suspect was the manager, who was busy pointing out problems in the concession stand to the employees. Told her what was happening, and her words were, "Give me few minutes maam. I'll send someone up to see. This is the first complaint we've heard about the volume of the movie." (I suspect the theater wasn't as full, so no one had to sit in the rear.) I told her perhaps she could conduct a poll at a later date, but for now we all paid money for this movie. She continued to instruct her staff about cleaning the soda machine! No one was buying soda anymore, as we we all in a pack filled theater trying to hear the movie. How do some people get to be managers? Bottom line, sound was never fixed, and the overhead light in the main entrance to theater 6 shone the entire time. No one cared. On top of this, (not theaters fault), someone decided it was OK to bring their 6 month old infant to the show. Baby fussed the entire time. Mom took her out once, came back in. Baby continued to fuss, but Mom was too much into the movie to care about others who paid money to see this movie. Arrggh! Can't afford a babysitter? Not everyone else's problem. I know the theaters were recently redone, but in the future, if I'm going to pay full price for tickets and refreshments, I'll go to Nugget Theatre in Hanover or wait for it to come to Woodstock.

The management is very friendly as is the staff selling tickets, serving fond, and door persons directing you to he correct theater. There is always a movie to see no matter what your tastes may be. Specials and matinees lower your ticket price, and let's face it, we all a need night out that won't leave us with a hang-over at least once in a while.

I agree... where's the information on what's playing, etc. I could look the number up in the phone book and get the same results!
