Provided by YP.comAfter receiving mixed reviews regarding Round Valley Animal Hospital and Dr. Marks, I made a decision to take a chance on her and her practice. Needless to say, I will not make that mistake again.
Since going to Dr. Marks, I have experienced a deplorable lack of compassion, and misdiagnoses for my pets.
Although when speaking to this woman, she gives you the warm fuzzy feeling of wanting to do the best for your animal, truly she is looking at her bottom line.
I do NOT recommend her services or trust her staff for even the simplest procedure. Her staff is inept and cannot even pass along a simple message. I am truly appalled with the service my pet has received. It is terrifying that she is still in business and my prayers go out to anyone who depends on this practice.
I recommend any who has used/uses her services to get a second opinion and double check results and diagnoses.
As for current cliental, I am truly frightened for you and your pet and am horror-struck by my experience. If you love your pet as much as I love mine, you will take your pet to another vet.

Provided by YP.comDr. Marks and her staff are wonderful. She diagnosed our dog immediately and the lab results confirmed it. No matter how many times I called in a day, Carol was happy to talk to me. The tech are extremely compassionate, knowledgeable, and kind people. When they taught me how to give our girl SQ fluids, she made sure I knew that if I had any problems or questions at all, I could come back or call her. The fees are more than reasonable and this is a practice that is clearly run for the love of animals and not for financial gain. Our girl was there for 4 days and the staff took fantastic care of her. I know that my dog truly matters to Dr. Marks and the wonderful staff at Round Valley and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Provided by YP.comBrought 4 feral kittens in to be checked out and was very pleased with the discounts given. Brought one back to be neutered via the Friends of Animals program (adopted out the other three) and was very happy.

Provided by YP.comThank doG for Dr. Marks, who has lovingly cared for each of our retired racing greyhounds for more than ten years. I've encountered many vets, over time, whose love of animals has long since taken a back seat to greedily running up patient bills with expensive, unnecessary tests and treatments. Dr. Marks sensitivity and devotion to all animals, by comparison, is unmistakably sincere and wholehearted. When possible, she always recommends the most financially conservative route first, and never suggests tests or procedures that aren't necessary. Despite having a full and very busy practice, Dr. Marks' love of and sincerity to her profession is further evidenced by the numerous local rescue groups and shelters to whom she generously donates and discounts her time and services. I can only guess that the few negative experiences people have posted about here here occurred in the first weeks after Round Valley opened. While unfortunate, any new business, with entirely new staff, is bound to experience a few glitches initially while procedures and routines are fully ironed out. I have complete faith and trust in Dr. Marks, her extremely competent and caring staff. I highly recommend Round Valley Animal Hospital to anyone who is looking for the very best of care for their precious pets, (and especially to retired racing greyhound owners who know the value of having a hard-to-find, greyhound savvy vet to care for your hounds.)

Provided by YP.comA neighbor of mine recommended Dr. Marks, and all I have to say is WOW!! I had a mild emergency with my french bulldog and they took her right in, and cared for her without an appointment. Moxie was dropped off on my way to work, and I was able to pick her up right after. Carol at the front desk is super sweet and caring for her customers and pet clients. I was so worried about finding a new vet when I moved in 6 months ago, and I have found my new vet without question.

Provided by YP.comThank god I did not listen to the bad reviews. After agonizing over a decision on where to take my 12 year old Basenji mix we decided to trust this veterinary hospital. The front desk was very professional, knowledgeable and caring. The vet assistant was super confident and my belligerent, ill behaved dog was an angel under her control. Dr Marks answered all my questions and convinced me that she could successfully remove a large pre-cancerous tumor that was sitting right on her jugular vein in her neck area. Not only did she remove the entire thing without a hitch but she removed a smaller cyst, cleaned her teeth and treated an inner ear infection.
She gave me a very reasonable rate for all. My dog recovered and has a new lease on life. This entire place proved that they care very much about animals, they are extremely capable and affordable. I doubt if my old vet would have gone the extra mile and gotten my dog out of surgery alive.I have been told that she excells in surgery and has a careful steady hand. This woman is my hero! We love our dog and now how more time with her.

Provided by YP.comI was not impressed with lady at desk, she was actually rude to me. There was no one else in the place and she was rather abrupt. My dog urinated on floor and it was a big deal for them to clean it up. I think I may have been last patient and got the feeling everyone just wanted to go home. I would have cleaned it up myself. Dr. Marks examined my dog in 5 minutes and was done. I thought this was a joke. I won't be back. I had heard mixed reviews and now I know why.

Provided by YP.comAfter seeing signs a dog was lost from Round Valley Animal Hospital in Dr. Marks' care after a spay, I thought well anyone can make a mistake.I can now see how this happened.I drove up and an employee was was walking a dog in the front near route 22 which is a major highway.I thought this was bad.I did not see any fence that would protect any animal in case it got off leash. This scared me.I was hoping to use Round Valley to have a surgery procedure but I would not do this now as I would not want my dog walked anywhere near a highway and feel unsafe leaving him there.Needless to say I found a safer place with a better location and my pet is fine. Just make sure you check this out before you leave your pet there. As if it happened once it could happen again.

Provided by YP.comI met Dr. Marks at Basking Ridge when she worked there. I have continued to have her see my pets when she worked at Belle Mead, and now that she is opening her own animal hospital in Lebanon, I will drive there. She is someone who takes the time to explain what is wrong if there is a problem. My pets have had great care with her, and I am very picky about who I bring my pets to. I like seeing the same vet, not one of five or six and you never know which one you get. That is why I am glad I have stayed with her the past few years, she KNOWS my pets. She cares about them as if they were her own, and I never met another vet that did that until I met her. She will do well I am sure once the word gets out she has opened her own place. I can assure you your pets will get excellent care just as mine have.

Provided by YP.comDr. Marks has been my vet for over 2 years now and I originally called her when I needed a Dr. to come to my house to see my aging cat. Dr. Marks was caring, kind, knowledgeable, and extremely gentle with my cat. I believe she helped my cat live a longer life due to her care. I also have had surgery on another cat with her, and my cat is doing wonderful after the corrective surgery. She has also treated my dog numerous times and has helped when she had pancreatitis. I knew I could always call her no matter what time, and get an answer if I had a problem. I am ecstatic she is opening her own practice and will be seeing her there.
