Well, I've had a completely different experience in dealing with Star Cycles and their employees than the other gentleman that left that horrible review. We are all human... people make mistakes. If you have yet to have made a mistake in your life, I'd love to come shake your hand and buy you a beer! That sucks about the other guys situation buy, maybe you should have planned your maintenance a little better and not waiting until the day you leave to do so! But, anyways that's just my opinion. However, in my dealings with Star Cycle, they have always done what they say! Chris (who is NOT the owner) is awesome!! He is very polite, knowledge and tells you like it is. If he can make something happen for you, he will! And then there's Pete (the owner). Pete is an amazing mechanic and an amazing person! Pete has done several repairs/mods on my Harley Bagger. He does amazing work and has a heart bigger than you and I put together! I recently had my bike in there with him getting some mods done. Well, I was involved in an accident in my vehicle in which case, my car was totalled. Rather than all the expenses of paying for a rental, I called Pete and asked if it was possible to get my bike done that day or the following day. Unfortunately, with where he was at, it didn't look like that was going to be possible but, he asked of I was ok from the accident and showed a sincere concern for my safety! He said he'd place my bike as a priority and work continously until he got it done. He even did the unthinkable.!! He offered to lend me a personal vehicle of his to drive until he completed the work on my bike!! Now, I don't know about your bike shop owner but, I doubt he'd offer you one of his vehicles to drive until work was completed! Now, I understand Pete can't just offer a loaner vehicle to everyone but, I was really in a bind and Pete and Chris really came through for me!! They have EXCELLENT Customer Service and they have a client for life!!!

Hope this shop goes out of business!

I've spent whole morning in Redondo beach calling around to find jet kit for my 2009 KLR650 so I can get it installed that day and head down to Mexico to join some friends.

Josh (one of guys working there) confirms twice over phone that they have in stock and that they're gonna save it for me. I bother my friend to drive me 200 miles (100 miles each way) for 5 hours just to get this kit same day.

We finally get there, the kit they have is not for 2009 KLR650!?!?!?

Still in disbelief , Josh tells me that they can ship me right kit in next 3 days and they're gonna pay for shipping.

I tried politely explain that I needed kit that day and that THEIR MISTAKE not only wasted half of my day, but it messed up my whole trip, and it wasted my friend's time and gas. I asked if they can at least give few bucks to my friend for gas. If they were to do this and apologized for it, I wouldn't be posting this review.

They said they're not gonna do that. All they're willing to do is order right kit for me and pay shipping. In other words all my and my friend's trouble, wasted time, messed plans, gas expenses, which was ALL THEIR FAULT meant nothing to them.

Chris (who apparently owns this company) was even worse and wasn't gonna even hear about it. He showed no understanding or willingness to anything about it at which point we left still in disbelief.

This is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE and I really wish you take your business elsewhere.
