Provided by YP.comThey are the best! Dr. Phillips really cares. I have 100% trust in his and his staff's opinions. I would never again bring my pets anywhere else in this county.

Provided by YP.comAnytime you are new to an area and need new veternarians it is always a concern. I no longer am concerned and will bring Roger Rabbit back to Lecanto Veternary Hospital for his check ups and his nail trims. Everyone there, and there were lots, were very positive about their experience with this pet hospital. All were friendly, took excellent care of my bunny while examining him and cutting his nails. Later when I got home I realized I lost my house keys. That was the only place I visited so I called and one of the young ladies in the office went out to the parking lot and found my keys and they called me to tell me they had them. I drove back to get them and so relieved! Great place to take a pet.

Provided by YP.comDr. Phillips and his staff are simply AMAZING!!! My dog suffered off and on with a UTI for nearly a year with multiple vets offering medications to try and cure him, ringing up bill after bill for repeated visits and medications but never really trying to find out what was causing the problem. During these repeated visits my dog became more and more nervous acting when I would take him out of the house and put him in the car, as if he were afraid which concerned me about how he might be being treated in these vet offices behind closed doors. Dr. Phillips was highly recommended by my groomer and her customers and on my first visit to Dr. Phillips, he found the problem, a kidney stone. Dr. Phillips explained in great detail about the surgery he would need to do and what my dog was going through currently with this infection. Dr. Phillips was able to get my dog in very quickly for the surgery and his staff explained what to expect with recovery however, my dog was taken care of so very well by Dr. Phillips and his wonderful staff that he recovered extremely quickly and is as healthy as ever now, only 2 1/2 weeks after his surgery. I am so grateful to Dr. Phillips for being so knowledgeable and to his staff for being so warm and kind to us. I will never take my dog anywhere else.

Provided by YP.comDr. Phillips and his staff are exceptional. My dog was very aggressive because of abuse at another clinic in Citrus County. Dr. Phillips has the patience to sit on the floor with my dog and calm him down. He now loves to visit the vet. A friends dog was attacked by a pit bull. Dr. Phillips saved his life. After three hours of surgery and around 100 stitches, he is doing great. EVERYONE I talk to loves Dr. Phillips and his staff.

Provided by YP.comDr Phillips is exceptional vet. I had a beagle that took cluster grand mal seizures, he is the only local vet that agreed to give me liquid diazpam to use rectally on my dog to stop the seizures. We unfortunately had to eventually put Sophia down, but because of Dr Phillips we were able to spend almost another year with her. I recommend Dr Phillips without hesitation.

Provided by YP.comYou don't deserve a single star.
Don't take your pets here unless you want them to be torchered & killed. My sister took her cat in for a check up and to have a mat cut out of her cat's fur. The cat freaked out and they kept pushing.
No owner let along her 2 yr old child deserve to watch their beloved pet writhe & seize on the floor dye from incompetence.
Personally the person responsible needs to be fired & prosecuted.

Provided by YP.comi had a bank prob, a serious one, i tried to pay with my visa and found the bank was holding my funds, but shouldnt be...i was angered, and though my voice went into a rage with the bank on the phone, i didnt curse and at that time nobody was in the place.
Some guy, who i think was the head doctor came out and told me to quiet down and i did apologize..then i explained i needed to quickly go to the bank to straighten things out and i could be back in about an hour...i then told him i could leave him my 18k gold freemason ring as a coladeral for the 130.00 dollars or so i owed...
He could have nicely aid no, but rudely said "we are not a pawn shop...but dont worry, we have your dog" (he was still in the room when i was paying)...
I replied "you are holding my dog for ransom"? and he told me "you can get your dog if you want and leave with out paying, but i will immediately call the sherriffs dept and have you arrested for theft"...
I could not believe my ears....what choice did i have....
I left, cleared things up...returned in under two hours, paid what i owed...
My dog was in the same room i left him in, with NO water and the syringe that they used to give my dog a shot was still on the counter with other medical instruments left out right next to the dog treat canister...
...They are sooooo lucky my dog did not decide to chew on any of it.
The one refreshing note was the woman at the front desk as well as the assistant to the doctor that helped my dog, the doc who help my dog seemed ok, an avg vet, but that man who came out who seemed to be incharge and who seemed to represent their office as well as his attitude and the actual way they didnt care for my dog when i was forced to leave him there will keep me from returning...no wonder the place was empty.

Provided by YP.comI stopped by (without an appointment) to ask the veterinarian about a rather rare breed of dog that I am getting (a Picard, there are only 160 currently in the US). I waited about 5minutes and was told that the vet, Dr. Phillips would see me. The front office staff were polite and one even looked up the breed while I waited. Once I saw Dr Phillips, he said he thought it would be great to have the breed, and looked forward to the challenge. He welcomes something new and different. He was very pleasant, and admitted he was not familiar with the breed, but would work with me and seemed genuinely interested. It was nice that he took the time to speak with me, without an appointment. The office was clean and spacious.
