These people are great! From the moment I walked through the front door I was greeted by a lady who directed me to the correct place to give my information. everyone was nice & helpful. I did a step by step interview to set the procedure date & time etc.The first appointment was about an hour. I gain a lot of knowledge about my up coming procedure. The lady answered all my questions & I felt comfortable talking with her. After I left another person called to ask if I had any questions. They checked with me during the 3 week wait ( I requested the extended waiting time.)
The day before I had the procedure I was called and talked with the nurse about things I needed to do to get ready. She asked and answered questions and was very caring and concerned.
The next day I arrived and again was welcomed by a friendly lady. She made everything
go so easy and allowed me to feel comfortable. when I was called to the surgery room I was treated really nice again. They told me everything they were doing and why they were doing it. The doctor (Dr. Marc) was terrific, he explained everything and said he would talk with me after the procedure. They took me to the surgery area and told me what to do, the nurse told me to have a nice nap and said I would be sleeping in about 10 seconds ( she was right), I just fell to sleep and & was awake again, it seemed so fast and it was over.
Dr. Marc came in and explained everything and talked to me for a few minutes (no rush to get me moving in a hurry). A lady stayed with me and even made sure I got to the car where my ride was waiting. They also called the next day to check on me.
If you are a little cautious about having a procedure like this done, you need not be concerned about it, these people are great and allow you to feel totally comfortable. Thank you to all the people at the Midwest Gastroenterology Center.

I have been a patient of Dr Taorminas' for over ten years and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Very professional and caring. The financial lady I dealt with should, however, should be replaced. She was very hard to deal with. They miss coded my procedure and she refused to change it, even after my My doctors office called them to change it. Costed me a $1064 out of pocket that i should not have paid for. Hopefully the insurance will get it reimbursed for me. Joe H

Unimpressed Overall

Scheduling a procedure is easy and convenient, regular exams or in the event of a flare up you are better off going to the Emergency Room, and I was referred to do such recently. Be prepared to play phone tag for days on end. This is all too bad I I rather like the doctors, I think it is the supporting staff/infrastructure that is just crappy.

I wouldn't go anywhere else for my colonoscopy. Midwest GI has discovered two colon cancers so far, and the doctors' proactivity has kept me healthy and cancer-free.
