Provided by YPmobileDo not take your children to this practice. The business side of things is really shady. the businesd owners aren'teven involved enough to know what is going on. The practice is highly disappointing.
First and foremost I was charged for services in which I did not know that it was not covered by insurance. I never received that information. I would if never had those services performed. Additionally I have been there numerous times since and no one had mentioned an outstanding bill. Had they of I would of made arrangements for such bills. Then I was told today that nothing had been saidabout a bill due because of insurances issues.
Finally I was told my oldest appts was canceled. Not all three of my children. we sat in the office another 40 minutes.

Provided by YP.comWould not recommend this dental office to anyone. At first it seemed great, but recent events showed me that this is not so...
My 8 year old son had one of his back teeth pulled, and a metal spacer put in. It was supposed to be a permanent fixture that could be removed years from now when his permanent tooth grew in. After about a month, maybe, he complained that it felt loose, and a couple days later, it came outcompletely while he was eating dinner. We made a trip to the dentist and they re-cemented it in. Maybe two weeks later, the spacer came out again. We made another trip, and they fixed it for us. It came out yet again a week or so later. This time, Jodie decided to make a custom mold of his mouth and order him a custom spacer that would be an exact fit. She informed me that this would perform much better than the stock spacer that she used before. LESS THAN ONE WEEK LATER....the custom-fit spacer came out while he was eating a sandwich.
I called their Independence office this morning to see if they could fit him in to get this one reinstalled. The receptionist informed me that they could fit him in next Thurs., but that there would also be a $38 out-of-pocket fee as this was the fourth time that they would have to install his spacer. I asked her why I should be liable to pay for something that was supposed to be a "permanent" fixture that has come loose. She told me that perhaps my son was wiggling it or doing something to make it keep coming loose. Yes, my 8 year old son loves the dentist so much that he purposefully yanks out his spacer to take a "fun" trip to the dentist. I told the receptionist that the dentist must be doing something wrong if this supposedly permanent fixture has come loose this many times, and that I shouldn't be liable for shoddy worksmanship.
She put me on hold for 5 or 10 mins, presumably to take my complaint up the totem pole. She came back on the line and advised me that the fee was just their policy. I just love it when people stand behind blanket statements like, "Well, that's just our policy."
Well, my policy is to not pay for a shoddy worksmanship or an incomplete job. I will be taking my 3 sons elsewhere from now on. It is a shame, as they did seem like a friendly office. Hopefully I can find find another dentist that can do this job, and do it right the first time.
