For the thousands of seriously wounded veterans in Afghanistan and Iraq, the struggle to overcome the challenges in their lives caused by the injuries and illnesses they sustained in combat is one that must be endured every day. The Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes was established to ensure that in return for the sacrifices they made for us, these wounded veterans and their families receive all the support needed to restore their hope and rebuild their lives. Founded in 2004 as a non-profit, non-partisan 501(c) (3) organization, the Coalition is among the nations leading charities whose donors provide the wounded veterans and families of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom the aid and assistance needed for their long roads to recovery.

I received a check in the mail yesterday and was presently surprised. I'm having financial difficulties due to family issues and this allows me to have a wonderful holiday meal. Daily I hear "we support out troops" and I often wondered how they supported them. Some places give us discounts or allow us a discount shopping day, but for most I think it is just words. It's wonderful to have someone actually stand behind their words. I remember how people were treated when they returned from Viet Nam and I feel so fortunate, that is not to case in today's military. Thank you for your generosity.

I am so overwhelmed with joy at the gift that your organization sent me this Christmas. To be honest, I was worried about not completing Christmas shopping this year because it can get very expensive when you have three kids like I do. I haven't worked as I try to complete a milestone in my studies and I am actually graduating with my degree tomorrow. Due to only my wife working it has been a long and hard year and it seemed as if my family couldn't catch a break. Thanks to organizations like yours and countless other people it became a little smoother. My family and I really appreciate the gift and will be sure to put it to good use. America is still the greatest country in the world and part of its greatness lies with selfless Americans like yourself and service members. HOOAH.

I really appreciate the gratitude for my service and would like to convey my heartiest thanks to you for the wonderful gift of $500.00 arranged by your wonderful organization from hundreds of miles away, and at a time when I could really use that kind of financial support. This money will ensure that I can provide my daughter with clothes and toys for Christmas. I can’t express enough how blessed I truly felt when I opened your letter. May the Lord bless each of you for all you do every day.

I wanted to write to thank you for the check that we received in the mail today it was such a huge surprise. It was so unexpected and right before my husband checked the mail I was figuring out what bills we have left to clear and how much we would have left to finish Christmas shopping and buying everything for the Christmas meal. I was not home at the time and he sent me a text with a picture of the check and I broke down in tears right in the middle of the Dr's office. I always say the lord takes care of us and man he sure did, he blessed us with your organization and awesome supporters and our stress level just went down a few notches. I can now finish getting little things for our kids and have a nice meal prepared for our family on Christmas day. I just cannot tell you thank you enough for your support of our nation’s warriors and their families. Thank you again and GOD BLESS!

Well I was being overwhelmed with studying for my finals this week. In the back of my mind I was trying to figure out a way to make my children's Christmas as best as possible. It was going to be one of those Christmas's where we just enjoyed each other and knew that we all loved each other very much. However, after checking my mail box, and sorting through them, I noticed a letter from Coalition to Salute America's Heroes. Opened it, and noticed a big check... Thank you all so much for your help. I get to put gifts for my children under our tree, and we can have what was going to be a simple Christmas, now be a wonderful loving day together. This is my birthday gift as well, Christmas baby here. Thank You So much. We are full of smiles right now.

I would like to sincerely thank CSAH and all of its supporters for its help in a very distressed time of my life. Roughly a year ago I had to take a job that would work around my military related medical issues. Of course this job paid well below what I was used to making. I now had a more stable environment and an employer that understood and would work with my disabilities. Life seemed to be looking up however this new job paid way less than I was used to. I began to fall behind on bills and was on the brink of losing my home. I had literally exhausted all means of surviving. I had a fellow veteran refer me to CSAH and without hesitation I applied. I was shocked at how fast the response time was. I spoke with a case manager and was assured that help was on its way. Within hours my mortgage was brought current and for the first time in a long time I felt like I was able to breathe again. The help that was provided has helped my family take charge again of our finances. This holiday season has already been a blessing and I was expecting nothing more. We had regained our morale and where just happy to be debt free. We expected the upcoming holidays to be a joyous but very simple time, little festives and little to give our children. Today we received a Secret Santa gift that brought both of us to tears. We are now able to provide a wonderful holiday meal and to make sure Santa sees our daughter this year. Thank you so much for all the help that you have provided. My wife has even interviewed for a position with the CSAH and we are now active advocates for the CSAH and we are proud to pass the word along.

Hello and thank you for your generous gift to me. I am moved by all the people who are supportive in this program of me and my fellow brothers and sisters in arms...it is you that are heroes in your selfless giving to make a better situation for someone else. God bless you. I will not say too much about myself except I had 5 combat tours and was wounded on one of them. My knees have been operated upon over a year ago, my spine was done in late April of this year and my shoulder replacement is TBD right now, I have been diagnosed with severe PTSD and undergoing tests for TBI. My last tour before the AF retired me was at the pentagon where I was in the office of counter intel and special programs for the SECAF. My specialties were counter terrorism/Irregular Warfare. Well enough of that this letter is not intended to be about myself, but what remarkable Americans you all are for your contributions to us...you know in a big way it is the exact same type of selflessness that me and the others gave without regret... (not one single day). All of you are true patriots and Americans who know what the cost of sacrificing for something that is bigger/better than your individual selves, and that our freedoms though sometimes taken for granted, are not easily won. Thank you from the bottom of my family’s hearts.

I am a representative with the Partner Appreciation Program. My husband, Richard, was severely injured in Iraq in 2007. We just received a Secret Santa check and I cannot tell you how unbelievably blessed we feel right now. It is such an amazing gift and will surely make this Christmas very special and will help pay bills and help get groceries. Thank you so much for all the work you have been doing to make the Coalition such a wonderful organization and for your continued support and expansion of the Partner Appreciation Program. I feel so humbled and honored to be a part of such an amazing program which truly does help so many families. Thank you again. And, I wish you and your family a very happy holiday season. God bless you, your family and all the families that have been supported by the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes.

Today my family received a $500 check from your organization. Prior to the arrival of the check we were not going to be able to get our 3 children any Christmas presents. We're behind on bills and were not sure we would be able to put food on the table, let alone presents. We do have relief in sight as I have finally been approved for social Security Disability, but this won’t arrive until after New Year’s. So now we have less worry and will get clothes for each of our children and a few toys/games, etc.

I've never been more pleasantly surprised by a piece of mail. Let alone a letter from something I didn't recognize, I thought it was a bill or a credit card offer, but no...it was a check or $500 and a beautiful holiday card. :) My wife and I are so grateful that there are those that take care of veterans such as me, especially in such hard financial times. I lost my job in April and was out of work until July. Luckily I got a new job but the commute and the fact that there are no benefits have really taken a toll on me and my family. Thankfully there are organizations out there like you that offer help and more importantly (a thank you) to America's veterans. God bless you and thank you for everything.

I must first and foremost give my thanks and appreciation for the gift! It was such a blessing at a time where my fiancée and I were struggling to pay the bills this month and have anything left over for a Christmas for our two children. I opened the mail in the car and let out a surprised yell, and started tearing up from utter disbelief that God heard our prayers and made this happen. We are two full time students and I am medically retired with a 80% disability from my service and have struggled finding any employer that would work with my medical appointments and school schedule. This gift came at such the right time because our holidays had a grey outlook from not being able to have even a Christmas tree in the house, found a good one at Goodwill so we put it up and the 3 year old had such a great time decorating it and my fiancée couldn't quit smiling! You and your supporters have lifted our spirits this Christmas and made it possible for us to cover our bills and provide a Christmas for our children and a gift or two for me and my fiancée. I felt so blessed that there are people out there like yourselves and I can only say that one day when I am in a better financial situation that I will pay it forward to another family in need! Thank you so much from my family, a grateful soldier, and a warm heart all around for a Christmas that would never have been as bright as this one will be because of your blessing to our family! Thank you so much and God bless you all...this has been a true Christmas miracle!
