After my mom died my dad put our childhood home up for sale, he needed peace without the constant reminder that my mom is gone, which I totally get! The few belongings he kept he put in a storage unit behind Lakeside Auto Plaza on 209, also known as Keep it here storage. It has been 4 months since he placed his belongings there, 4 short months. Today we helped him retrieve his things as he was ready for them and I thought it was odd to see a pile of mattresses when we pulled into the lot! When we opened his unit we found everything is completely covered in MOLD!!!! EVERYTHING!!! When it was brought to the offices attention it was told that its in the contract there is no guarantee of climate control! WHAT??!?? My husband had stuff stored for YEARS after his accident in a different uncontrolled place and did not have any of these problems!! I understand new owners have taken it over and I hope they make it right for future customers but if you have a unit there or know of anyone who does I would definitely check on your stuff! No wonder other people threw their mattresses out!
