Provided by YP.comWho knew you could find good raw fish in the Mid West? Well, we did after our first tme in Edoko. We have eaten sushi in a number of places in the KC area to include Kabuki in Crown Center, Kyoto and lots of other places. I've also eaten it in Hawaii, NY, California and Japan. I have to tell you, this place is as good if not better than many of those places. The fish is fresh, plentiful and relatively inexpensive considering the size of the portions. Raw fish isnt for you? Edoko also features a large variety of other fresh Japanese specialties. Whatever you select, you wont be disappointed. Staff is friendly and attentive seeing to your needs as you enjoy these treats. Full bar with good selection of Sake and Japanese as well as other beers. Go ahead, indulge.

Provided by YP.comJapanese food is pretty new for me, actually I ate sushi for a 3rd time in my life... And that sashimi were... the first my sashimi! So you can imagine my first impression: "Oh my GOD, Is This a huge piece of RAW fish"?!?... But I'm curious woman, so... I tried, and... you know, I Like it! It's so fresh, so tender!!! I'm glad, that I got my first experience of sashimi at Edokku! Me and my hubby chose "combo for 2" (or something like that) and enjoyed a variaty of several choices! And we still can't guess what it was- 2-colors fish (white and red) which tastes close to calamari, but that's a fish... We have been enjoying our meal and forgot to ask what it was!.. My hubby describes it like "It's shark, I always thought they are like that" :)
We recommend you this place- to seat-to speak-to relax-to eat...

Provided by YP.comGreat sushi restaurant! We went here on a friend's recommendations and she did not steer us wrong. I've been to several sushi restaurants around Kansas City and this may be the best one out of all them. I had the california roll, the lobster mango roll and the philadelphia roll and they were all awesome! Especially the lobster mango roll. The decor inside is very nice, too, and the wait staff was very attentive. We will definitely be coming back!

Provided by YP.comEdokko food is exceptional. It offers really fresh sushi & nigiri if you enjoy sushi. I love their Golden Dragon Roll, which is California Roll with fresh Salmon & Caviar on top, yum!! You got to try the Lobstertail Roll, it's delicious For appetizer try the Tuna Takaki or the Bake Chile Bass, it's out of this world. They also have the world famous Kobe beef, you don't have to wait till you go to Japan to try it! It is available at Edokko. Their dishes from the kitchen included dishes like Sukiyaki, Lobster Teriyaki, Grilled Lamb Chop etc. Aside from the good food, their decor tranquil and elegant. Fine dining with great value and service.

The head sushi chef at Edokko is really an artist and a wonderful host to those at this counter he has worked in the east cost brings new flair to the sushi. Their Japanese cuisine is also Amazingly good the Baked Chili Bass is to die for. The enviorment is casual yet fancy. The resturant is decorated beautifully.

Provided by YP.comIt is stunning walking in to Edokkos, its like walking into a beautiful Japanese garden. But when the food arrives that becomes the best part.
I learned that Koegi, the head chef, was classically trained in Japan, which meant he had to train 3 years just making sushi rice. Then, he could move on. When your sushi arrives and you take your first bite, you know all that training was for a good purpose.
The place if filled with beautiful designs and art, the staff is friendly and fun. I'm telling all my food adventurous friends about this place.
