Avoid Brad Johnson and his fradulent company! He has refused to remit payment of funds to myself and many other landlords, a total thief and scumbag! He did not pay me rent due for months and allowed my property to fall into disrepair. They even disabled the alarm system on my property. PAY UP BRAD!

Recently moved from a property owned by them. From day one we had issues. No heat, no hot water, sink leaks, etc. It took them months to come and fix the issue. We started to grow mold in the bathroom because of a leak in the shower. Again, it took them forever to come fix the problem. When the finally decided to do so, we were left with a large hole in the bathroom. Furthermore, they do not respond to emalis or messages. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone. On a positive note, Brad the owner is very nice. Just can't seem to get things done.

I would not trust this company with anything at this point. Had a decent experience going and looking at a rental house. Me and my pregnant girlfriend decided we really liked the house and wanted to proceed. After about 2-3 days of trying to contact The Rent Company to let them know we wanted to apply, and to make sure they were a legit company, we finally got ahold of them and sent in our application. It took them a WEEK to even run the application through (after numerous calls and emails). Then they wouldn't tell me for another WEEK if we were approved or not. Screening our phone calls and everything. Finally, they contacted us saying we were on the bottom of the list for the house for some reason. Our credit was good and rental history was good. It made no sense. Now almost 3 weeks later in the entire process, the house is STILL on their site as available to rent and NOBODY will help me at all or tell me what's going on. Most unprofessional company I've dealt with.

The rent company was the worst landlord I have ever had. Rude, don't answer maintenance calls. It took 4 months to get a working sink in the main bathroom. The deck collapsed about a year ago, still not fixed. Do yourself a favor and use a different company!

Have been renting from the same *owner* which has been going thru the Rent Co (TRC) for about 5-6yrs. There were many rough times, and many times where expectations were met. Owner Brad has always been nice and respectful. Maintenance staff *was* subpar and created friction between tenants and TRC. The RC and the property owner have solved this by outsourcing maintenance to an independent maint. man who is *wonderful*!! Now everything runs smoothly, which, is what Brad told me he was working toward a year or two ago. Good job, Brad!



Note to owners: You should be aware that you have to invest in your properties to keep them nice enough to keep good tenants. There is more communication needed between tenant/TRC and owner(s). Perhaps TRC should take pictures of larger issues and share with owners. Brad's made remarkable progress during the time I've been here.

There are various means to submit maintenance requests, including an online form, and rent payment through their website.

*Now* I would say that I would recommend them.

I would give the rent company ...

Have been with the rent company for the last 3 1/2 years. things were great for the first year. The first issue is something that I can not say is Brads fault. I moved into one of the properties and personally did alot of work out of my own pocket and after the owners came by to replace the water heater and saw all of the work that I'd done. They decided to sell. I had to move because they were bringing possible buyers into the home 2 times a week though I was only 4 months into my lease. In the end I was let out of that lease and moved to another property in June. The home has many issues, 1 of them being that it has black mold. Brad did make an agreement that stands until the home is completely fixed, and it is now September 31st. There are still many repairs that need to be completed and I'm waiting on the call from the company to remove the mold.

I have been renting from The Rent Company for 2 years now and have never had any problems. The online payment makes paying rent a breeze. They are quick to do any kind of maintenance work and their 24 hour maintenance always come and fix things in a timely manner. I would recommend this rental company to anyone. Keep up the good work.

I would use another company if you are looking for property management. They don't send checks automatically so you have to remind them to send it each month. Even then, after they say they are sending it, they don't always do.

Awesome staff; this is a very professional team; from management to maintenance staff (great maintenance guy Logan). The convenience of online billing and payment saved me so much time each month. Brad, Jerry and the staff were so accommodating and did not make me feel like I was intruding on their day when I called with a request. My job has since relocated to Texas and I really miss the quality service I received from the rent company because my current leasing company does not value its renters at all. The rent company is the best experience I’ve had with a management leasing company and if I ever transfer back to the Kansas City area, the first call I make will be to the rent company to lease a home.

Great experience with a great rental management company. The Rent Company has excellent customer service and really values its tenants. All of our calls to the office were returned timely and all repair and maintenance requests were addressed and resolved efficiently. The Rent Company helped us relocate from out of state. This is very professional company, that was willing to work with us to find just the right place. They were efficient and very responsive to unforeseen problems that we encountered once we moved in. We had a tree come down in a storm and they had a crew there within 24 hours to take care of it. Thanks to Brad and Jerry for taking care of us, and welcoming us to the area.

The Rent Company has been managing my property for quite some time. They have always acted in my and the tenants best interest with the highest degree of professional service. Any requests by either me or the tenant have always been met promptly and courteously. I will happily continue doing business with The Rent Company assured the best in the business is covering the bases.

I warn u to never rent a propety through this management company...I signed a lease paid my deposit all in good faith that Brad (the owner)would stand behind his word of the place bring ready fir move in scheduled 30days out...At the time of my key pk up and to pay my first month rent they could not assure me everything we agreed upon was complete...I thought u manage property how could u not know that is what I was thinking.Sure enough nothing was done.No cleaning , dead bugs everywhere,5 lights out, no garage opener, no fresh paint, no carpets cleaned,and most of all there was Black Mold growing up the walls n the storage room.one of the rooms with no light fixture dir me to notice that during walk through...Thank God I checked everything before I moved anything in.I would of been stuck in a major headache situation...After all of this I tried all weekend to contact this company ,no call bk what so ever...I took pics,had my documentation and went to their office demanding all of my money bk n full. Knowing that they had dropped the ball he reluctantly wrote a check...There was never an apology for my inconvience,or for their lack of.I would never recommend anyone to rent to them.They were very rude,disrespectful,dis honest, &UN professional. They say whatever needed to get your hard earned money and then ur stuck like chuck... Oh I almost forgot theyve already relisted the property with the mold etc and increased the rent $50. Smh

The company helped my husband ...

The company helped my husband and i through a very rough time. We had always paid our rent on time and ran into a problem while my husband was out of town with the rent check . they worked with us and helped us . very understanding company and easy to get along with.
