Steve Ferrarone is an experienced litigator specializing in the field of personal injury litigation. Attorney Ferrarone has tried numerous cases to verdict, been honored by national legal organizations, and has obtained large personal injury verdicts and settlements, in Massachusetts courtrooms and legal offices. Mr. Ferrarone was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, one of seven sons, and matriculated from Classical High School in 1969. He attended Amherst College where he graduated with academic distinction. He worked as a paralegal for the Mental Patients Advocacy Project and assisted in the deinstitutionalization litigation which eventuated in the closure of Northampton State Hospital and the establishment of a community mental health system for Western Massachusetts. He then attended Northeastern University School of Law where he had the good fortune of participating in the Legal Services Institute under the tutelage of Gary Bellow, Esq., a truly egalitarian advocate for the poor. In 1985, Mr. Ferrarone returned home to Springfield and practiced as an Assistant District Attorney with the Hampden County District Attorney's Office. In 1986, Mr. Ferrarone went into private practice focusing on plaintiff's personal injury litigation. He has continued to work in this arena, specializing in medical injury since that time. Martindale Hubbell, the oldest and most authoritative resource in evaluating attorneys in the world, evaluated Mr. Ferrarone as Distinguished by his peers and Preeminent by his clients. He is licensed to practice in both State and Federal courts. Mr. Ferrarone has served as a member of the Board for the Amherst Survival Center, and is actively involved with the Millers River Educational Collaborative. He has two wonderful children whom he loves deeply and is very proud of their achievements. He enjoys playing piano and is an avid reader, hiker, and skier. When he has the opportunity, he loves the company of good friends and exploring the coast of Maine by kayak.
