Had gotten bread and cookies and bread was old and cookies were nothing special

.............and this is definitely the case with Dortoni. Everything they make is excellent!!!!!



I refuse to buy from any other place. I've had "friends" tell me to go to nearby supermarkets instead, because they are much less expensive. I just look at them and smile. I will not sacrifice quality to save a few bucks.



I have bought every birthday cake, Christening cake, Holiday pie, etc. from Dortoni's and will continue to do so. I often buy more than I need, just so I have leftovers. They have a customer for life.

Whenever we celebrate a birthday in my family (sometimes twice or 3 times a month), an absolute must is a Dortoni Birthday cake. We travel from an Eastern point of Long Island to New York City to pick up a cake in Nassau County, Long Island. And each and every trip is well worth it. The cakes are very fresh and we marvel at the different delicious fillings. Because there are so many fillings, we generally order two different fillings for each cake. My family and I have been buying the cakes for years and we don't consider going anywhere else. I'm traveling to Texas for my granddaughter's first birthday and my daughter insists that I purchase a Dortoni Cake here in New York (replete with two fillings, lemon and fresh banana) and bring it to Texas with me. So I will take the chance of trying to make it through security clearance with my Dortoni Cake. The next best experience is to walk into the store to see all the other delectable items to nibble on as you pick up your cake.

the bakery has more delicious cookies, cakes, pies and bread. it is the best bakery on long island and whenever we get there we bring home as much as we can carry. they are very willing to accommodate your needs. what a great experience.
