I have a built-in oven from the 1950s in my home. Love that these guys get parts for it and give me basic instruction to install myself.

I have also purchased belts for vacuums; heating element for dryer; plastic tray thing for inside my freezer; replacement glass for range and various other items over the years. I have always been treated with courtesy by employees. I have always had items verified and recommendations for ease of installation.

Cheaper to get here than on eBay with shipping. They've tracked down part numbers on my behalf and I've never had an issue.

I have dealt with three different people in this store while trying to obtain a replacement dishwasher part. I don't know what their real names are, but if I had to guess they would Ms. Incompetent, Mr. Passive-Aggressively Rude, and Mrs. Unreasonable.

It all started when Ms. Incompetent ordered the wrong part. I took in the piece I needed (a faceplate/control panel), and she looked it up in the computer, quoted me a price, and placed the order. I had to pay for it immediately because they did not have it stock and had to be ordered. Fine- no problems.

The following week I went in to pick up the part. Mr. P-A Rude waited on me. He asked if I wanted to check it before I left. I almost didn't, but I'm glad I did (Lesson learned - always check things like this before you leave the store). I opened the box and the faceplate was the wrong color. No problem - mistakes happen, but Mr. P-A Rude acted like it was MY fault that HIS EMPLOYEE ordered the wrong color. He snarled that they would re-order the correct color and it would be there in about a week. Fine- I'll be back next week.

About a week later they call and leave a message on my voice mail that the part is in. They also say the new part is going to cost me $40 more than the price I was originally quoted and already paid. I let it slide until I go in to pick it up. Ms. Incompetent is there, puts the part on the counter and says I owe the $40. I ask why (IKR- how dare I ask). She says this color is more expensive than the wrong color one she originally ordered. I think - maybe- but $40 more? So I politely say "Look, when I came in here 2 weeks ago, I handed you the actual color part I needed. You were the one who ordered the wrong color. Then last week the gentleman that was here said he would order the correct color, and never said anything about it being more expensive. How do I know this color is actually more expensive then the other one and I'm not being charged a restocking fee or something like your sign right there says?"

Well, upon hearing this, Mrs. Unreasonable comes over and in a raised tone of voice says something like "Are you calling us dishonest? You think we're cheating you or something?" So I turn to talk to her - "That's not what I said at all. I just want to know why I should be expected to pay more than the price I was originally quoted when the gentleman who helped me last week never said anything like that." At this point she's obviously upset that I have questioned her about this, and says "If you're are not going to pay the $40 then we will just refund your money" (despite the fact that there are several signs they don't give refunds on special orders). So I say "Look, I'm willing to work with you on this. I'll splint the difference and give you $20 cash right now, take the part and leave." "I can't do that" she says. "I have to charge the full price that is in our system. You will have to come back on Monday and talk to the owner." "Never mind" I say. "I'm not taking time off from work to come back in here and talk to the owner. Just refund my money." Which she did - in full.

So, I go home. I look up the part number myself online in about 3 minutes. I place the order, and even with $7.95 shipping it's still cheaper than what they were going to sell it to me for, AND it will be here in 2 DAYS!!! Long story short - skip this place. Look up the part number yourself and order it online. It will be cheaper & faster and you won't have to deal w/ this level of poor customer service.

Store does honor their own ret...

Store does honor their own return policy, had to call police to enforce return of unused parts. open package, but unused.

Very over priced parts, unfriendly service, police officer who came out even said he was there a year earlier for same type of incident. I will not buy from there again, plain and simple. there are other appliance parts suppliers in the area. just giving my experience... thank you
