Susquehanna Valley Women in Transition offers counseling, shelter and other emergency services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties in Pennsylvania. It employs a trained sexual assault counselor who offers support to the raped and survivors of incest and childhood sexual assault. The organization also provides advocacy assistance that includes explaining the legal process and proceedings and accompanying women to court hearings. Susquehanna Valley Women in Transition conducts classes and training sessions on dating violence, date rape, sexual harassment, child abuse and domestic violence at schools, clubs, churches, community groups, prisons and professional organizations. In addition, it offers Project LISTEN, a program of sexual assault prevention education for children with disabilities and their parents. The organization is located in Lewisburg, Pa.
