Provided by YP.comFantastic Library! The Director Jan and the staff Darlene, Traci, and others are kind, helpful and very knowledgeable. For a small town library with a very limited budget they do an amazing job. I am very proud of our little library and all the things they manage to do. Books, music, movies, computers, children's programs and more its amazing how hard those librarians work. If only the county spent more on the library and less on football fields.
As for the snide comment below from someone who must be friend/family with Melba; The Library is a privilege not a right. Being extremely rude, loud, and verbally abusive to the staff and other patrons is completely unacceptable. Unfortunately there are those that think they can steal books, dominate computers for hours and use foul language in front of children. I appreciate the library for banning such people and making the world a better place.

Provided by YP.comWow after reading that completely fictional review by freedomisrising I had to write a review telling the truth. This is a great library with a great staff. They have a huge selection of books for children, as well as young adults. Jan the director, Traci, Melba, and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable and very polite. You can borrow books from other libraries, you can use up to date computers with high speed internet, take part in numerous programs and much more. Also having a library and getting to use it is a privilege not a right. Some patrons are very abusive and deserve to be banned from the library. I have been to all the libraries in the surrounding counties and none compare to Lewisburg. Thank You Marshall county Memorial Library staff for all you do for the community.

Provided by YP.comYes, they can borrow books from larger libraries. If you want to wait for the book to come in. But their own selection of books is the worst I've seen. I grew up in a town 30 minutes away, and I read every day, so I'm familiar with every library in the area. This one is sad. Classic children's books that kids have been reading since before I was a kid and you would naturally expect to be in the kid's section are not there. This happens a lot. Of course, if your kids want to read R.L. Stein or Stephen King, they can read about every single one. Great. Also, there is a large selection of hate speech otherwise labled literature by Ann Coulter... WHICH would be fine (because I don't believe in book burning) if there were a balance of books written by NON far far far right republicans. There aren't. There's a book ABOUT Ann Coulter, actually, called "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them." You'd expect a fair and balanced library (which it should be, bec ause we ALL pay for it,) to contain at least one book refuting the entire collection of extremist rhetoric, if they are going to so carefully collect said rhetoric. But no. Not in Lewisburg. If you look up similar non republican subjects, you may find one book listed on the computer, but then it's likely to be mysteriously missing from the shelves.
On anohter subject, Melba is the only librarian there who has NOT demonstranted through a complete lack of manners and courtesy that she was raised in a barn. The rest were clearly raised by animals and believe that if anything annoys them in the least that gives them the right to bear their fangs and attack. (Albiet in the sneaky honey covered way of uncultured southern women.)

Provided by YP.comFor those of you who love to read, this library is great. Yes, it is a small town library however they are able to borrow books from the bigger libraries. The staff is great and full of advice on what to read. I go there every two weeks and LOVE it.
