I lived here for two years during my time as a student at WVSOM. The response to maintenance calls was prompt. I thought the apartments were nice and are the closest to the school. My ONLY complaint is that there is not a lot of closet storage, but it was nothing a few bookshelves didn't fix. The price is acceptable for the area, but it is a bit expensive. I would rent here again.

Terrible! Unfortunately, they really take advantage of their location next to WVSOM. Nearly $1000/month(without a washer or dryer, not including electricity or Internet service) and there isn't a full-time maintenance or emergency maintenance person. The door & window frames are so poorly fitted that you can feel cold air coming in around the windows in colder months & can see condensation on the storm doors (from the heated air leaking outside ). Should you have any emergency (plumbing, for instance) the complex manager cannot give a time window of when to expect maintenance because the maintenance person lives several towns away. There is no emergency maintenance number and if you're not from the area or donthave close friends or family near by, you're 100% on your own to deal with any issues, until they can "get around to it."

I would strongly, strongly advise living elsewhere and would move (halfway through the school year) if I wasn't planning to do so in a couple months already.

I've lived in woodland acres for 1.5 years, and they keep surprising me with new ways of being unaccommodating and callous. For one, the buildings are very cheaply built; when I turn on my dryer it shakes the whole building. I can hear footsteps and phone conversations very audibly through my ceiling. The heating system makes a continuous rumbling noise which makes it impossible to sit in the living room unless there is music or tv playing to drown it out. My tub has clogged 4 separate times even with a catch-all on top of it so I am certain nothing gets inside it. But all of that is nothing compared to the customer service. This company seems to have a knack for firing any of the employees who are actually personable and friendly, and replacing them with people who are impossible to communicate with and who are remarkably harsh. I used to speak well of woodland acres, but recently I've been on hard times due to family emergencies and bills, and I asked for a 3-day extension on my rent for next month. The answer was a non-negotiable no, and I am forced to pay a hefty fee. What a lovely way to treat tenants! This review may seem harsh, but I am truly appalled at the lack of accommodation I have experienced today, and I would not recommend this complex to even my enemies. You're better off living in fairlea or ronceverte.
