The Lewiston Police Department is responsible for providing enforcement services to over 32,000 citizens of Lewiston, Idaho. The department offers safety and protection services. It has a staff of more than 40 sworn officers and over 15 civilians. The Lewiston Police Department works in partnerships with neighborhood associations, community agencies, businesses and other city departments. The department has received the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center s Award of Excellence and is accredited by the Idaho Chiefs of Police Association. It conducts awareness and educational sessions for the general public. The Lewiston Police Department also provides protection against various crimes, such as robbery, burglary and assault.
