This review is a little late since my last appointment but it still needs to be said. After reading the reviews I was skeptical about making an appointment but the location and pricing was just right for someone with no insurance, so I thought why not. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile when handed my paperwork to fill out. The front desk lady was super nice and very helpful when checking in and out. I waited in the waiting room for about 15-20 mins and was called back. One of the assistants who introduced her self, Ashley was wonderful. Her and the Dr. Newsome work great together, they made me feel comfortable and even made me laugh. I would recommend her to everyone. Also, when I was checking out I mentioned the bad reviews and they told me the whole office staff had been turned over which in their case, for the better.

This office is terrible all around. Everyone there acted like I didn't even exist, I was never welcomed and never offered an opportunity to ask questions. I went for a cleaning and Suzanne never even looked in my mouth, just looked at my xrays and told me I needed fillings for surface cavities. I got them at her insistence because I've always had great teeth and didn't want to risk them getting deep cavities. What a terrible mistake I made! This was over 2 weeks ago and I still have throbbing pain on the whole left side if my face. Not only that, but I got charged TRIPLE what I was quoted. When I called the office to ask why, I was told it's not their responsibility to check my insurance and that I should have known it would be more than she said. I don't dare risk going back to have the pain addressed, she would probably recommend another unnecessary procedure. Avoid this place at all costs!

Newsome for over 30 years and have been extremely satisfied with her work and her staff. We feel she gives exceptional service for a very reasonable cost, especially when I hear what other people are paying for dental work.

We highly recommend her for new patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Newsome's since 1985 and have never had an issue with her or her staff. Even in my early 20s without dental insurance she scheduled multiple visit to repair my teeth after years of seeing an unqualified dentists. She made this affordable and I've had no issues after all these years. She's a no nonsense doctor. She'll not try to sell you unnecessary dental work, but offer you all your options if it is necessary. Plus, she has a great sense of humor. Even though I now have the option of visiting a dentist on my insurances network, I still choose my and my children's dental care at Dr. Newsome's.

Dr. Newsome and staff are just terrific. They keep us healthy and make coming for a dental appointment a pleasant experience. My husband and I have had excellent care and greatly appreciate Dr. Newsome having her office here in Lewisville and fixing us up when we have needed it.

I absolutely adore this group of (currently, January, 1, 2013) women! The previous review has bothered me so much that I am writing a review, and all that is involved with that, for the first time ever. I have woken up in the middle of the night thinking of it. I hope she does not have the same experience again anywhere else. Dr. Newsome is not the most southernly charmed woman I have ever met.....is that really necessary?!?! She is knowledgeable, competent, qualified and courteous. She treats my children with the respect they deserve and the tenderness they expect. She has charged me, as a cash paying client, according to a fair scale, at times, more than fair! even no charge. She and all of her staff have become a norm in my family and I am very very pleased. I would recommend to anyone!!!!!!!!!

The dentist is rude and abrupt. I brought my son for an emergency visit because he had a fall and his tooth is turning gray. She did not address the tooth, which was the whole reason I brought him! I had to chase her down the hallway and all she had to say was "It is awfully dark" and walked away! The assistant was very nice and professional. On the way out, the children are allowed to pick a prize from the prize box. My son picked a very cheap looking motorcycle and asked if he could get one for his baby sister as well. I was explaining to him that it was very nice and thoughtful to think of his sister, but that we could only get one toy. The receptionist very loudly and rudely starts telling him "NO ONLY ONE", talking over me and interrupting me to my own child! No one asked for her to interject, and he was not fussing or anything, so there was no reason to talk over me and try to over parent me. Will never ever go back.
