We had our engineered hardwood installed less than a year ago. Our floor is peeling in 6 different spots around the house. We have not had any water damage above the surface. Before the installation we expressed concern that an area of the slab was a little darker than the rest. We were assured that once the floor was floated it would not be aproblem. After many calls and requests for them to come evaluate the problem they have decide it is not an installation problem. We also pointed out that there are hollow spots under the floor, where the leveling agent was not used. We are stuck with an expensive flooring that really does not look good. We have friends and family with engineered hardwood flooring that have not had this problem. Of course our claim was denied. The most frustrating part is that our concerns before installation were dismissed and now we have to replace our flooring.
