Oglethorpe County High School is a coeducational institution that provides academic classes to students in grades 9 through 12. It has a counseling and guidance department that provides information regarding career planning, scholarships and educational loans. The organizes a variety of sporting events that include basketball, cross country, football, track and field, golf, baseball, wrestling and cheerleading. Its core curriculum includes business, family and consumer sciences, foreign language, English as a Second Language, music, fine arts, special education, social studies, math, science and literature. In addition, the school has various clubs, including academic bowl, student council and the Future Farmers of America.
