My husband, myself and two daughters (14 and 9 years old) took the tour this morning. The tour van showed up at the hotel before time for the tour. The van is very clean. Dave was our tour guide and he is very knowledgeable. We first went to Keeneland Race Track and walked around learning about its history. We then drove past many horse farms and learned their history. We did stop at two separate horse farms to learn about the breeding of the horses and to see the horses and the foals in the fields. My daughters enjoyed the tour and were able to learn a lot. They were not bored at all. I would recommend this tour to anyone driving down I-75 that wants to learn about the history of the horse farms they are driving past.

What is the most important characteristic of a guided tour? A well-informed, easy to understand, full of anecdotes, and stories of the history of what you are seeing. Our tour guide Dave was all of that. He has been doing this for a number of years and it shows. So I don't know whether the other tour guides from Horse Farm tours are of equal quality or not, but I can certainly recommend Dave for your guide. Other less important considerations - van was comfortable, max capacity was 10 so no big crowd; tour takes 3 1/2 to 4 hours.

On Saturday i took your tour with my friend Jerry. I have taken a lot of tours over the years, but yours ranks as one of the best! Your are knowledgeable and relate to your customers.

Dave was one of the most informative guides we have ever had for a tour guide. We were picked up on time. There were 11 people on the tour and it was a great group. We went first to Keeneland Race Track, then drove by so many different horse farms and each place we went David was able make it very enjoyable with all of the knowledge he shared with us. We also stopped at two diff end farms and thoroughly enjoyed both. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is thinking of coming to the Lexington KY area.

My adult daughter and I took a tour on May 10th and enjoyed ourselves very much. Our guide, Margaret, was very knowledgeable, personable, and extremely patient with us. We learned a lot about the horse business and the Lexington area in general. Getting to tour Keeneland and pet five-day-old foals made it an outstanding experience. I highly recommend it!

My husband and I drove over to Lexington on Friday before the Kentucky Derby. This was a very enjoyable and informing tour. A couple of stops so one can stretch their legs or use restrooms. We may do it again next derby. I highly recommend it.

Interesting full three hours. Horses and farms are beautiful. Getting to see the foals up close was pretty cool. Learned so much about the horse racing. Good finish to being in horse country.

My wife and I toured with Mattie in April. She used her former school teacher skills to provide a well organized and informative tour. Several farm stops allowed up close viewing and interaction with the horses. We went on the morning tour and were able to observe the horses working out at Keeneland, Standing next to the track when horses ran by at full gallop gave a great perspective of the power and speed of these animals.

We did this tour on a Sunday the only day we had to do it. Keep in mind if you have to do the tour on Sunday you only get to visit two farms instead of three. The tour was great and David did a wonderful job of driving us around Lexington and telling us about all we saw. I would highly recommend this tour if visiting the Lexington area. Well worth the $35pp fee and don't forget to give a good tip!

This is outstanding. They have a smaller more personalized tour. You really feel special. We could take our time and really enjoy the area, the horses, Keeneland and much more.
