Lexington Catholic High School, founded in 1951, offers Christian education that emphasizes the spiritual ideas and moral values of the gospel. It has an enrollment of more than 900 students in grades nine through 12. The school s curriculum offers various subjects, including English, science, mathematics, social studies, foreign languages, business studies, fine arts and health and physical education. The sports activities offered by the school include cross-country, golf, soccer, football, volleyball, cheerleading, hockey, swimming, baseball, intramurals, lacrosse, softball, track and field, and frisbee. It has a library and a media center that offers Internet access, books, magazines and journals to students. The school has a parent teacher association that provides financial aid and assist in curriculum development for students. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and approved by the Kentucky State Department of Education. Lexington Catholic High School is located in Lexington, Ky.
