The Lexington School is an independent, coeducational day school that enrolls students in grades first through eight. The school has a wide curriculum that includes language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. It also offers classes in physical education, computer technology, foreign language, library science and fine and performing arts. The school s campus has gymnasiums, a fine arts wing, art gallery, computer laboratories and a theater. It also has a library that has a collection of more than 17,000 volumes. The school offers several sports teams in soccer, basketball, tennis, and lacrosse. Its extracurricular groups include band, chorus, string ensemble and chess and speech teams. The Lexington School was founded in 1959 and is located in Lexington, Ky.
