As a visitor to your State I visited Mi Mexico Restaurant at 818E. New Circle Rd in Lexington. As I started to eat while sitting at the Bar, I saw a man name Javier or Jaime start trying to remove Ice Cream from a bucket after many attempts, he ended up sticking his hand in the Ice Cream scooping up Ice cream with his hand and placing it on top of sopapillas, closing the container and taking it to a customer. I proceeded to leave my food as I no longer wanted to eat there after seeing that, again to see the same person drop some tortillas on the floor, handling it with his hands and again placing it in a food container.

I tried to contact the Manager and when I informed him of what I have just observed, he got man and said he was real busy and could not talk. I then told him I would be contacting the health department and he said he could care less, turned around and walked away. I think this restaurant needs to be inspected. If there were these 2 violations in plain sight, I can just imagine what goes on behind the scenes. While seating at the bar I also saw to insect strips hanging from the ceiling within 1 foot of where people eat, which I also feel that should be illegal to have so close to where it can get into the foods being served.
