I bought 2 Groupons for Mondelli's. I let them expire (boo on me!). Groupon guarantees the amount you paid when an expiration occurs. I bought 2 Groupons for $10 each that were to be good for $20 each at Mondelli's. Due to the expiration, I no longer had $40 to spend but I did have the $20 I paid.



I went to Mondelli's to get 2 dozen donuts for my 7 year-old's birthday. I presented my Groupons and they refused one of them, telling me I could only use one per visit. I offered to purchase one dozen, leave the store and return to purchase the second dozen with my second expired Groupon. They refused. They insisted that if everyone did that, they would run out of baked goods. The problem is...an expired Groupon is simply store credit.



I tried to reason with the sales lady - How can you stipulate when a store credit can be used? I ended up going to Krispy Kreme to buy my daughter's donuts.



Mondelli's has the worst customer service of all of the bakeries in town.

I just picked up a birthday cake that I ordered. They didn't give me the option of designing my cake how I wouldve liked. They said do you want fall or pastel colors? Since it was for an adult I chose fall colors. All of the cakes on the website looked appealing. When I picked up my cake I was appalled. It was the most hideous thing I've ever seen. It looks like a funeral cake. It has mistletoe and s*** colored icing. The writing was done in red with yellow on top of it. The cake even smells bad. I would waste my money. Honestly I'm just going to grab a Walmart sheet cake after wasting my money at modellis. Disgust.

Love their goods....However, My sister and myself go to Lex. almost every Thrusday. From 9-11 am. They are all most always out of chocolate, custard filled, long johns. Why? Know it's hard to predict the customer wishes, but if I was running out time and time again. I'd say: They customers like these - maybe I should make just a few more. Or perhaps a daily inventory of what I made vrs. what I should would be in order. We can not call ahead the night before, as sometimes (Not often) we don't go. But, Like today I called at 9:45 to reserve some. They only had one left. Just saying....

I'd still give them a 4 star rating.
