FAILING TECH START-UP

Pros:

Great staff! Very enthusiastic about the work they're doing. As it's a startup company, there is a lot of room for an individual to learn.

Cons:

As it's a small company, benefits are not very great. No matching 401k. Health insurance is ok.

COO micromanagement, poor top leadership, boss playing favorites, old technology, bad communication, dictatorship, disorganization, no clear direction, constant changes, COO treats employees like bad children. Lacks transparency and makes promises that cannot be delivered.

Organization:

Terrible executive management! COO blindly leads, and has unrealistic expectations when it comes to competing with Big Pharma. After several patent infringements (https://casetext.com/case/impax-labs-inc-v-lannett-holdings-inc-1) that resulted in the loss of investors, contracts, and half its workforce -- the company continues on without any structural changes to the organization.

Advice:

New COO and consistent policies needed. People will continue to leave until something changes.

Completely revamp the manufacturing department and its leadership. Director of Operations and Manufacturing Manager caused several failures in product launches. Due to their lack of industry understanding, they also caused a client to loose millions of dollars in a failed FDA Clinical Trial submission.
