Transylvania University Library, based in Lexington, Ky., operates under the Transylvania University. The library serves university students by providing educational and recreational materials, technological resources and schedules of programs and displays. It also provides a range of print and nonprint materials, including new books, periodicals, vertical file materials, audiocassettes, CDs, instructional videocassettes, VHS tapes and DVDs. Transylvania University Library offers student access catalogs and reading rooms for students use. The library also offers access to magazine articles, newspapers and encyclopedias. It has a collection of more than 130,000 volumes and has subscriptions to over 500 periodicals. Transylvania University Library provides online access to electronic databases and catalogs of various libraries throughout the state.
