Provided by YPmobileI think they would deserve less but there is no 0 star rating. My father helped me pick out a couch that I bought brand new. By 2.5 weeks the couches frame underneath had broke and the cushions are already dipping in. I called an they said they could not refund or replace the couch. They could send someone out to "fix it." It still isn't fixed, the cushions or the broken frame an I'm out 800 dollars. They are horrible a customer service and have horrible quality. Please please don't buy!

Provided by YP.comHORRIBLE EXPERIANCE. I wish this review could be no less than a -5 stars.
My story is long so I will shorten it to a respectable length. Started my adventure with value city furniture by purchasing a couch in the store, we sat on the exact sofa unit we wanted color, style and orientation. (Which side the chase lounge was on) We waited 8 days to have it delivered, normal I thought. It arrived at our place a day late and the Chase was on the wrong side. The two men that brought the unit called their manager and told him what was wrong. They replied to us that the company was going to call us and reschedule a delivery of the proper unit the fallowing Monday. We call ten days later, asking why we had not received a call and there answer was "we were waiting on you to call us". We scheduled the drop off of another unit; time out was 15 more days. They offered to give us our money back for the delivery but only as STORE CREDIT. We ended up buying two nice chairs for a dining room set we had been looking to replace the older chairs on. Fifteen days later the chairs are brought to the house assembled correctly and then the couch was brought up, everything was the right height and correct orientation although WRONG COLOR our couch was MUCH darker then we ordered in the first place. There manager MR. Thompson or something along those lines is a crook once he has your money he wouldn't turn loose of it even knowing his minions are in the wrong. Well I cooled off for about three weeks and although we tried finding a place to get another set of dining chairs like the ones we bought from Value City we decided to go back and get more. This time we picked them up from the warehouse and ensured they were correct before leaving. WRONG I get home put it together and one leg is over an inch shorter than the rest. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS "Do not go to this place to buy anything for anyone other than an enemy of yours that you are looking to put through hell and back" I don't know whether to take the chair back and get my money back (IN STORE CREDIT ONLY) or just toss the chairs in the trash, I will never return to this store of criminal distribution experts or any of their locations ever in my life for any reason other than to take a full refund of everything, I ever bought.
Not one to complain, normally

Provided by YP.comWish I could rate it in the negative but, I can't so I'll give it one star. This is the worst furniture buying experience I have ever had!!!!!! I bought a living room suit from the store on Nicholasville but had to come to this store for the pick-up. We live 3 hours away, therefore the delivery price wasn't reasonable. One week ago (Thursday, April 10th) someone left a message on my answering machine that our furniture is ready for pick-up. I called the store and scheduled a pick-up for Saturday, April 19th. Then, on April 17th we had an opportunity to go for the furniture. I called the store the morning of the 17th at which time noone gave me any information other than to pull to the back of the building for customer pick-up. So, I drove 3 hours to get there only to find out that my furniture was not there. IT HAD BEEN GIVEN TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER!!!!!!! Needless to say I was irrate. I demanded a refund and I think it a shame no effort was made on their behalf to pay for the $150 gas bill after having pulled a trailer for 3 hours one way. The staff at Value City showed no care at all. They really did not care about me as a customer that had spent more than $1400 with them. I left Value City and went straight up the street to Ashley Furniture and bought my furniture. I will NEVER buy from Value City again. Further more, I will tell everyone I know of this occurrence and recommend them find somewhere else to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #worstexperienceever

Provided by YP.comValue City is your typical low-end furniture store with pushy salespeople. I haven't purchased from there and won't after a bad shopping experience. I just wanted to test out a bed I found online. The salesman was very pushy, telling me that there was only one in stock in the entire nation (as always, right?...), and if I didn't buy today, it'd be gone. I asked if they restocked, and he sheepishly said "Well, yes, but I wouldn't count on you being able to get one unless you purchase it right now." I told him I was coming in to test the bed, not to buy, and he was rude and aggressive, telling me "Well, good luck finding a bed." Very effective sales technique, sir.
The bed at Value City is a bit cheaper than one at another store, but I will go with the other store, on the other side of town with a slightly higher delivery fee, because of the service. I'm not giving any money to Value City after that experience.

Provided by YP.comDO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THIS PLACE! I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS SINCE DAY ONE.
THEY WILL NOT DELIVER ON TIME.
PURCHASED A TWIN SIZE BED FOR MY SON AND WAITED OVER 3 MONTHS FOR THE RAILS, WHICH I WAS THEN TOLD THAT THE TWIN RAILS COULDN'T BE GOTTEN AND WAS OFFERED QUEEN RAILS INSTEAD (WHICH ARE 3" LONGER).
BOTH MY RECLINING SOFA AND RECLINER HAVE BAD MECHANISMS WHICH WONT ALLOW THEM TO CLOSE PROPERLY SO I'M FORCED TO HAVE THE RECLINERS "OUT" ALL THE TIME. CALLED AND REQUESTED THAT SERVICE COME TAKE A LOOK, THEY CANCELLED THE FIRST TIME THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO CALL ME BACK AND RESCHEDULE AND NEVER DID. I FINALLY CALLED THEM AND THEY DID SHOW, ONLY TO HAVE THE GUY TELL ME THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO ORDER THE PARTS FROM THE MANUFACTURE AND IT COULD TAKE UP TO 10 DAYS. IT'S BEEN OVER A MONTH AND STILL NO WORD. I CALLED AND THE STORE AND WAS TOLD THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHY THE PARTS HADN'T CAME IN. I CALLED BACK AGAIN TODAY AND WAS TOLD THAT SERVICE LEAVES AT 6 TO CALL BACK TOMORROW. I WANT THEM TO COME GET THIS CRAP THEY HAVE SOLD ME. IT'S NOTHING BUT A PROBLEM HEADACHE!
