I buy a beef tenderloin at Wilson's for every holiday. It takes them about two minutes to trim it. I have never had anything but quick excellent service along with the freshest tenderloins available at an extremely fair price.

I went to pickup an order of brisket. The price was a little higher than what I was expecting, so I politely asked the man behind the counter about the price per pound. He was an old man with white hair and mustache. He became enraged, grabbed the meat package from my hand and threw it in the garbage. He said he would rather throw it in the garbage rather than have an unhappy customer. I was stunned, my two children were with me, and they were also shocked. We left empty handed, afraid to return.

I wouldn't recommend this little store. I only entered it once but that was enough. Wilson's Market is a modest little business. It doesn't have the greatest decor and they obviously don't have the staff to keep it clean. It smelled terrible, like they had a sewer backed up or something rotting. However, I would rather support a small family-owned store than a grocery store like Wal-Mart, so I decided to shop there. BIG MISTAKE!



I found a lot of food there that has passed its expiration date but was still in the fridges, in the freezers, or on the dusty shelves. A great deal of the meat looked much darker than normal. Some of the meat had punctures in the packages and they were leaking. On top of that, the prices are twice as high as Krogers!



Anyway, I found a package of chicken that looked decent so I decided to try my luck and purchase it. When I brought it home and unwrapped it to start making my dinner, it had a white slime inside the package, which was bacteria growth. It also smelled horrendous. I immediately wrapped it back up and returned to Wilson's Grocery for a refund.



I politely went to the owner of the store who is a heavy-set man with white hair and a mustache. I showed him the chicken meat that I had purchased and I asked for a refund. He told me that I could trade it for another package of chicken. I declined that suggestion and told him that I just wanted a refund. He became completely enraged, cussed me out, and told me to never return to his store. I hope the Health Department shuts down this dump before someone becomes seriously ill.
