I have had a very disappointing experience with Holton Appraisal. I have new construction and it is very apparent they cannot read house plans, or didn't even look at them. There have been numerous errors and my construction loan has been delayed because of the appraisal. The lending institute requested them to correct the issues. The appraisal came back after an extended amount of time (should have been top priority) and had even more errors. The bank has basically accepted the errors so we can move forward with the process. My recommendation is to check and see what appraisal companies your lending institute uses and recommend they do not use Holton Appraisal.
