Provided by YP.comOn August 28th I took an engine to this business to be rebuilt. I was quoted a price of 1800.00 to rebuild the engine. The owner also said that it would take about two weeks to do the service. Both the price and time frame are typical of this type of engine rebuild. On September 19th, exactly one month later, I went back to his shop to check on the status of the work. He told me that he may be able to start it the following week. When I reminded him of his original time frame he became very hostile. Mr. Honeycutt then told me that I could take my engine if I like, but I would not get my 800.00 deposit back. I agreed to leave the engine and let him finish as I felt that I had no choice at that point. I also gave Mr. Honeycutt about 2000.00 dollars of extra parts to put back on the engine as he rebuilt it. Two of those parts were a factory powdercoated oil pan and a chrome oil dipstick and tube. Today, September 29th, I was told by Mr. Honeycutt to come pick up the engine. When I got to his shop, I found that they had painted both of those parts with primer. This basically ruined both parts and now I have to repurchase and install both of them again. He also went up on the price from 1800.00 to 2500.00 without any prior discussion with me. He also gave no reason for the price increase, other than to say that if i did not want to pay it, he was certain that he could sell it to someone else. So to recap, What was suppose to cost 1800.00 and take two weeks, became five weeks and cost 2500.00. With out any reasoning other than he had my engine and parts held hostage until I paid. He also ruined two of the parts that I supplied. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.
