R U D E ! How are they still open? I bought one thing from them when I moved to Lexington back in 2009. I wait for the day they close their doors for good.

I Would give it NO star if that were an option... I Called this morning (because I'm not on that side of town, so I didn't want to waste a trip) when they first opened up and asked the guy on the phone if they had 9mm target rounds. I was told yes they did. I made the trip, went inside to the back counter. A older man asked if he could help and I told him that I had called earlier about the 9mm rounds and he said abruptly "we don't have any". I told him that I had just called and was told that they had plenty. I was even told that there was a 1 box limit, so I took someone with me so they could purchase a box for them. The Man proceeded to tell me that I didn't call his place because they hadn't had any in two weeks. I confirmed the number as the number I called and he still told me I was wrong. ... He was VERY VERY RUDE. I will NEVER purchase anything from them..

I've bought many guns from lexington pawn and gun and have had a great experience. The guys there are very nice and do joke alot but it makes the enviornment very easy to come into. The older guy there is a really nice man and helps as much as he can with the guns and or other items in the store. I recently went to many other stores such as Palmetto state armory or shooters choice and these guys really do have problems with customer service. I understand everyone has there bad days and problems but lexington pawn does not keep that attitude such as the other guys. So where all these other comments are coming from, it sounds as if you didnt get a gun for what you wanted and got a little upset, or you had that attitude like hey im the customer and you should kiss my rearend the wholetime...these guys make the customers feel welcom and they are very knowledgable on there guns unlike some other guys who talk to talk becuse they think they know what there talking about. i highly highly recommend these guys and would advise going there before anyone else. Plus they have the biggest selection and if they dont have it they will do there best to get it for you.

Felt the same way as all the other reviewers!! I have been in the store several times recently and the people are just rude. I purchased a few guns from them years ago and don't remember the attitude. You just feel like you are bothering the employees and don't feel comfortable asking anything. Take you business to someone that appreciates it, you will probably save money too!!

These guys have a wide selecti...

These guys have a wide selection of guns, but that's where the Pros end & the Cons begin.

WAY OVER PRICED!!! I didn't know any better & I bought a rifle that was used for $70 over MSRP for a new one!!

They expect to sell you a gun a high price, but won't offer you anywhere near a fair price for the one your trying to sell or pawn!

Very high on Ammo too!

Attitudes for the most part SUCK! They all curse like sailors, act like helping you is a bother & its a major put out to ask to actually hold the gun. I was there looking at rifles & the guy actually said "Well you seem to know so much more than I do, so just go look yourself!" then he opened the counter let me behind it & walked away leaving me there to look at whatever I wanted. I liked the fact I could look at anything without having a salesman pressuring me, but on the other hand this is crappy customer service too!

Everything is a joke to these people. I was in the middle of checking out, when the guy stopped helping me so he could run over & hold the door shut on the 2 employees that went into a back room because one of them passed gas & he thought it was funny to hold them in the smelling room, instead of finishing the sale of a gun.

Lastly, all the reviews on here are true, they do act like they are doing you this massively huge, life altering favor when they sell you something. Then they carry on like you should fall down on your knees to their feet praising & thanking them for their unmatched generosity!

Do yourself a favor just go to Cheaper Than Dirt

Amazing prices & excellent customer service. And NO this is not my site, I do not work for this company & I don't know anyone that does, I just recently found it myself trying to find cheap ammo.

Thanks for all the reviews. I was considering going here for a hand gun but decided to steer clear after everything I've read.

Not only are their prices high...

Not only are their prices higher than average even on new merchandise, but they are extremely rude almost everytime I have been in there, and don't seem to care about helping you. Also, on my last visit when I actually bought something they sold me a item that had been recalled several years before and that was defective. AVOID THIS PLACE!

Very rude people work here, I asked for some mosin ammo and the old guy gave me the most expensive brand they had had, I said do you have the surplus ammo, he said that is all we got, then I was talking to this one guy who said he was selling an AK47 for 300 so I asked for his email and the old guy yelled to me Leave now and don't come back. I think the old guy has mental issues and the other guy is just weird, everything is overpriced and they act like like they are doing you a favor if you ask for a lower and fair price.

Again everything is over priced and don't try to haggle

I go back a ways with this bun...

I go back a ways with this bunch. I have bought one pistol from them in the 10 years or so I have been stopping there, They are all from one family. They seem more like a cult than a family though. One of my coworkers told me they were all thrown in jail a few years back for trying to operatea private deer hunting club on a pattch of land they owned. The older guys are sort of okay that work there. The litttle 40s looking guy is a freak. I took my wife in their shop one day to look at small pistols there. When we would walk near the counter where this nutcase was standing he would let loose with a string of obsentities that would make a sailor blush. When we walked away he would stop..We walked back over again and he would start cussing. I was carrying my 16 shot FNP .45 acp and thought about saying something, but the odds were 3 guys to one. I had heard how they tried to gang up on the cops that busted them for their year round bogus deer camp.

I also noticed that one evening when there were some young girls about 12-13 yr. old that had stopped by there he acted like a class A pervert around them. He didn't cuss but his line of talk was sleezy at best..I believe one or two of them were his daughters.. I have also noticed that he does buisness with a few inner city hoods from across the river that usually are loaded down with about 20 pounds of gold necklasses...leading me to think he would probably turn his deaf ear and blind eye toward straw purchases. My advice is steer clear of theese characters. BTW I am not at all a big fan of Shooters Choice either. They are a bunch of oddballs. There used to be a huge lead slug in the window behind their indoor range where one of their socalled rangemasters mishandled a pistol and blew his own brains out...They have one old character on their rifle range that belongs in a mental facility. He screamed at me one evening because I was getting brass on the floor of their little rifle booth. This area has a ventilaton problem causing lead particulate matter to gather in this corner of the building. After this ole geezer has breathed lead dust for a decade or so he is mad as a hatter. They grease up some of the local politicos fro the Stae House so they get a pass from DHEC on any indoor air quality issues.

There are sevral decent options in this area than doing business with this bunch of bums. Acadamy Sports has just opened up in thw Sand Hills mall. They have great deals and good folks that know a lot about firearms. I have driven up to their Spartenberg store and bought a few guns rather than feeding the freak farm here. Lawman Supply on Broad River Rd. is a great place to buy guns. They don't just sell to law officers. Palmetto Arms on down Broad River Rd. is a great place. Both of those stores on Broad River Rd. have high quality used firearms too. ALSO!!! There is a brand new indoor firing range on Hwy. 6 just off I-20 that has several innovative plans for range time. I believe they have free ladies days too. S.Choice has ladies day too. It's not that big of a deal though if you catch a stray slug in the back at that place though. Try to read up on the web about handguns for ladies....also call the NRA and join. They have a huge section of female advisors that will be gad to help you. Younger moms and college age women are the fastest growing segment of the gun buying public nowadays...

I am somewhat of a gun collec...

I am somewhat of a gun collector and made the mistake of doing business with them 1 time and that was enough. Acted as if they were doing me a favor. Is not the best deal as suggested by others but I was impatient, wanted the particular gun and paid for my mistake. What little backup, support and customer service there is, is done begruggingly. Customer beware has never had more meaning than when you drive into their driveway. Since my first experience I have bought one more gun and plan to buy another but from someone that knows the value of making the customer happy.

DON'T SHOP HERE!!!!!!

I bought a gun here last week. I knew nothing about guns and asked to see a 22 handgun. I'm a female, not that it makes a difference. The saleperson showed me 2. One was $389 and the other was $399. I had no idea there were many more choices, and also many that were less expensive. I bought the one for $399, took it home and decided I didn't want it. I thought it was a lot of money and didn't realize they had any better prices. After all, why didn't the saleperson show me more options. I talked to my neighbor and she went to the same place and bought a 22 handgun for $235. I think I was ripped off. I had never fired it. I also shopped around a little more and found the exact same gun for $325 at Shooter's Choice. I went back today and asked if I could return it. He said no!!!! He said he would take it back but he would have to give me less money for it. I only had it over the weekend and never even used it. I told him I saw the same gun at Shooter's Choice for $325 and I would keep the gun if he would offer me a better deal. After all, $75 is a lot of money. He said no way, he would only give me a credit. What the heck would I do with a credit in a gun shop for $400??? I let him know I was very unhappy with the situation. I was originally going to buy two pair of goggles, two headsets and plenty of bullits if he would have offered me a better price. He wouldn't budge. Therefore, I will take the rest of my business elsewhere. My husband is also looking for a gun and we will not purchase another thing from this place and will tell everyone we know to avoid it.
