Midway Elementary School is a national Blue Ribbon School that provides educational opportunities to more than 950 students in kindergarten through grade four. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as mathematics, English, language arts, science, social studies and French. It also provides physical education, music, art and computer instruction on a weekly schedule. Midway Elementary School additionally offers a character education program and conducts special education classes for students with mental and emotional disabilities. It offers a learning excellence program for academically talented students in grades three and four. The school s media center stocks several reading and reference materials. Its parent-teacher association organizes various fundraising events. Midway Elementary School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
