I paid just under $400 to have a helper (non-licensed plumber-in-training) stand in my yard scratching his head for 3 hours and then actually charge me a fee to rent a piece of equipment you'd expect any plumber to have. I had to go elsewhere to figure out and solve the problem, and they broke the filter on my septic tank.
First of all this customer called and said she had a plugged sewer line.I sent my employee to the job who is perfectly qualified to the job he was sent to do. There is no one in town that does not charge for use of their equipment in one way or another. The only reason they had to go elsewhere is that I told them that septic tank was full and if I had known I broke the filter I would have replaced it most septic tanks don't have a filter and as a home owner they should have known about it and told me. I believe they are just mad cause they had to pay someone to tell them what they should have already known. And anybody else that would have gone out their in 3 feet of snow would have charged them a lot more than $400. Also if they would have called me and expressed their concerns I would have worked something out with them instead they just wrote me a nasty letter and gave me a bad review.
