Independence Elementary School provides academic classes to students in grades one through five. The school has an enrollment of more than 850 students, and its core curriculum includes art, foreign language, health and physical education, visual arts, math, science, English, reading and social studies. It has a staff of more than 70 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes special and physical education teachers, occupational and speech therapists, psychologists, instructional aids, reading coaches, custodians, media specialists, and art and music instructors. The school provides meal, medical and transportation services to the students. Independence Elementary School is a part of Lakota Local Schools and is located in Liberty Township, Ohio.
