I made reservations prior to Hurricane Gustav 5 days in advance & ask if it would be ok to bring my 2 house broken dogs with me. A small 2 pound teacup chihuahua & a 80 pound black lab. The young girl that answered the phone sounded American and said normally we dont allow pets, but since this is a place your coming to for evacuation I think we can allow it this time with a deposit. So I booked one double bed room for my daughter & myself for 3 nights & agreed to a 200.00 deposit for my pets. Upon arrival I was not only denied a room by the foreigner, so said to be owner that was at the desk, but I was told "If I park out on the road I coud stay at his Inn. BUT I had to leave my truck out on the highway with my belongings & pets in it as well." Now remind you I called in advance & confirmed everything, pets & all. Traveled 384 miles to get out of harmsway only to be denied a room with a out of the normal range for a pet deposit. And he calls his self human. We had 2 sleep in my truck.
