He helped us through a tough time. I would hire this man again. My wife had a traffic violation that required the services of an attorney.

Brian approached me at a calendar call and was very good at selling himself as a lawyer. He had heard the charges against me in court that day and made several promises as far as what he could do to help me, such as getting the case dismissed, etc. At the time, based on what he was saying and his approach, I was confident he could provide a strong representation. Now that all is said and done, I'm convinced, almost any other attorney who even half-way knew what they were doing and actually put forth any effort would have done a better job than Brian did...not very difficult to do considering Brian didn't do anything. So, what happened? After settling on an amount for him to represent me, I continued to hear from Brian frequently for the next few weeks, mainly regarding the collection of the money we had agreed upon. He would say he was going to do things such as file motions, however the actual purpose of the call was to collect payment. I know this because, after making the payment for the agreed amount, Brian went M.I.A.! The motions he said he was going to file, never got filed. In addition to that, this man didn't even do his due diligence in retrieving the evidence and DVD evidence. So, how was he going to build a strong defense? The answer is, he didn't build a defense at all. I would have done better to represent myself. Brian missed several court dates and I was unable to reach him for months at a time. Finally, the day of the trial, he was so unprepared that I almost immediately got sick to the stomach because I knew we were going to lose. During the trial, he allowed the prosecution to make false statements on record with no objection. Even as I pointed certain things out to him, he simply would not object and just sat there. He had absolutely no prepared defense and was clearly just winging it. I actually gave him a few notes and pointed out some things for my own defense, basically doing his job for him. Needless to say, we lost. Following the verdict, he jetted out of there like a bat out of hell! He was so unprofessional throughout and then to just leave out of there like that, it just proved to me that he never cared whether I was found guilty or not, all he cared about was money. Bottom line, this man should not be representing any clients at all. If I would have done my research prior to hiring him, I would have seen the negative reviews and known better than to hire him. That is why I am writing this review, in hopes that it will save someone else from wasting their money and possibly losing their case and/or freedom. DO NOT HIRE BRIAN WHITESIDE AS YOUR ATTORNEY, YOU WILL REGRET IT. Brian is walking a thin line and is more of a con-artist than an attorney. You don't have to take my word for it though... If you have money to give away and don't care if you win or lose your case, go ahead and hire him.
